arent they banking that he is the literal best player in da draft? it's pretty risky for a player who havent played
I guess where I differ is that while I think Sengun can be a really good player, I would’ve much rather had a Banchero and put a defensive big alongside him. Thanks for the response.
I was just thinking the same thing. This completely opens up things for them. Smith fills so many holes, they can really do whatever they want with this next pick and not feel like they have to draft for specific traits. (But more defense and shooting still wouldn't hurt.)
Not with Stone, he was pissed at the lottery because he knew Jabari was the #1 pick... Orlando is stupid...
Yeah I felt with Paolo we would have grown tired with that frontcourt after a few seasons. Sengun never going to be a guy that can switch 1-5, it's not going to happen, @D-rock brought up some good points about how the defense was going to be a nightmare with those two leading up to this draft and can Paolo do that? Having two bigs that are liabilities on perimeter defense was not going to be pretty. The passing between the two would have been fun though. I mean defense is probably still going to be bad but at least there can be some hope that it can get better.
