It feels like we took JC just to make Green happy. I'm not a fan of the new era of catering to a player's wants instead of the team's needs. Sengun balances that though.
I had a feeling we'd maybe go after Christopher, but I was hoping we'd buy a 2nd round pick to do it. I thought Butler may be one of our picks, but oh well.
One issue with Garuba is that he has a 2.3M buy out and NBA can only pay him 800k. He might not play this year so I'm sure people will be pissed. But at least we got Sengun and Jalen so ok. High upside: Green and Sengun High floor: JC and Garuba I guess thats their thinking.
Man.... the first round worked out better than I could ever have expected! Nobody knows what the future will bring, but I predict an exciting season ahead with our young core!!
This guy slow talking until Silver walks out every time is so shitty lol, just shut up and wait and... the... pick... coming.... not ... yet... ok...now...
I prefer to look at it as adding a player he's familiar playing with. I don't think of it as appeasing.
FWIW Ringer says JC reminds them of Donovan Mitchell so there's that. I mean he aint just a scrub. Rox always like big strong guard/sf hybrids like Nwaba and Brown so this isnt out of left field.
I liked Josh Christopher in the Combine scrimmages. I'd taken JT Thor over him but i don't know all that much about them yet. We'll see if this is a good pick or not soon enough. No need to get upset over a #24 pick.
