I just graduated from Arizona and I LOVE this pick. Johnson is a freak athlete and a very solid defender who can slam on just about anybody. He's a scorer as well, he lit up the PAC 12 and led the team. Probably the main guy in arizona last season even with Gordon there. I really hope we keep and develop Johnson, I love the guy. He's all hustle. He's also older with lots of experience so he should be ready to plug and play. One thing he'll need to work on is his ball handling. I expect he'll get some run at the point cause he's a little small to play the 2 in the NBA but with the rockets who knows, we love to play small. He's a streaky shooter so he needs to work on consistency too.
Joey Dorsey was/is like 3 inches smaller and was certainly not seen as a ready to go guy and had absolutely no offensive skill.
I think Nick Johnson fits a role very well of what I envisioned Rockets would use part of the MLE or the BAE on. A guy who always hustles is a good defender and is excellent all around in transition. Better complement for Harden than Daniels right now.
The kid is 6'3 and did a 360 in game dunk... That's more about having the balls to do that then the ability to do it.
The guy is seriously a freak his running vertical is like 46 or 47 inches. If it's any indication of his jumping ability, his father played pro ball too. His nickname was "jumping" Joey Johnson and his vertical was in the 50inch range too. And nicks uncle is actually Dennis Johnson. The dude has basketball in his blood.
Disregarding the fact that you're wrong about what the Rockets(and draft pundits in general) thought of Dorsey at the time, I will bet you Young does not average 15mpg next season unless he gets picked by the Sixers.

All I hear about Giannis is that he is the next KD. Well looks like he's the next KD without the jump shot, dribbling skills, or any single overwhelming display of skill. He's a good defender but wow is he the definition of raw talent.
