It's like you're sitting at the bar at last call and the barman pours a beer that's not your favorite, and a shot of tequila and says, "Look this is all I've got so choose one and it's free. Take it or leave it," and in reply you rake your arm across the bar and smash both on the floor.

But never forget: if these newly assembled young raw players ever lose a game, it's all McHale's fault.

I don't know what it is with McHale's attitude. It's really pissing me off. He should be thrilled to have so much young talent who are playing so well together, with chemistry, and in the playoff picture again with lots of room to improve. Instead he always seems upset about every move Morey makes. I don't think I've heard a single good word about any Morey move other than acquiring Harden.

One of my favorite moments of this season was when Greg Smith tied his shoe in the lane and McHale just had that look of horror like "What the hell is this???" Maybe we'll get another one of those.

I think it's more about just not being told about it in advanced.

I think any coach would be a little frustrated if the GM is making all these deals and tells you nothing about it. You'd feel like your opinion on the team doesn't matter and that the GM doesn't even trust you to give that information.

I hope it's not the case. I hope the trio of Coach/GM/Owner is pretty tight. I understand why Morey would keep a tight circle about such a trade though.

I think that is party of it. He feels like he was made to look stupid after saying nothing was going top happen. Add in that he lost 3 rotation guys, and it is understandable.

Every time he trains s big guy, Morey trades him. He just keeps pushing boulder up hill, and Morey rolls it back down.

Would you rather take a slew of players that you don't really want that are going to count against your cap for years to come, or quietly let his contract expire and then have the cap room to go after players that you actually DO want in the offseason?

Except the drink are NOT free. Those players will count against your cap if they are under contract for any length of time. If you let the contract expire, then you can go and redeem that offer for any available drink of your choice

great trade deadline for the Rockets. Better than i could ever have imagined really. We still keep our options open with Josh Smith, as he will surely test free agency this offeseason, and we have plenty of cap room. But obviously, getting the #5 pick and a high 2nd rounder for a package of above average role players (great guys, but role players none-the-less) while clearing another $1.5 mil in cap space was pure magic. All while retaining special talent like D-Mo and Jones. I haven't been this excited about our franchise since the day we got T-Mac. Thank you Mr. Morey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the first trade deadline where I actually hope we don't do anything.

Better to wait in the offseason.
