This seems right. For instance, when they displayed the 2nd round picks on ESPN, no parenthesis followed the 38th.

I wouldn't have taken Marcus Morris with Leonard still on the board, but I'm ok with the pick and happy overall with our draft.

Dude texted Lowry asking him to pray that he gets drafted by the Rockets.

Guy WANTED to play here. Soon to be fan favorite.

#14 Marcus Morris 6'9 220 no defense, dreams of being a three
#20 Donatas Motiejunas 7'0 220 soft as a pillow, afraid of work
    #38 Chandler Parsons 6'9 215 no defense

    as opposed to..

#14 Vucevic 6'11 260 good outside shooter, not afraid of work
#23 Marshon Brooks 6'5 190 very good shooter, likes to hustle
#38 Jeremy Tyler 6'11 260 young, athletic big man, ok defense

How to screw up a draft 101.

I am not saying I am sold on this draft yet, I will take a wait and see. But I am thankful you are not drafting for the Rockets. Vucevic, would have been too early. Marshon Brooks would have been a huge reach. Tyler is a project, who I would have taken a shot on, but is not a clear cut decision.

Your picks are very poor, with horrible reasoning behind them.

Did anyone else think it was a tad gay that ESPN kept playing Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" the whole night. Not a good sign for this years draft class.

Vucevic would have been the pick if Marcus didn't miraculously slip to us.

Motiejunas has a higher ceiling than Brooks and SG doesn't fill a need at all. Martin and Lee have that sewed up.

Tyler went much later than 38. Parsons was the SEC player of the year and was money late in games.

Edit: Oh yeah and in case you didn't notice.. We dumped an old fart with a kaput knee and a worthless pick for a young, expiring contract.

U serious? After following the draft closely, and waisting your time giving useful information about the draft to all of us, you come up with these posts about Houston screwing up because they didn´t draft your guys? 4real?

Anyway, I would have drafted Leonard before Marcus, based on natural position and upside, but buy going Marcus, I think Morey wants immediate impact from him at the 3 spot. Let´s see if he can defend 3s at the next level for 30 mins, lose some bulk to be quicker, and add some consistent range to his shot.

The Motiejunas trade was ABSOLUTELY awesome from every angle, we give up "useless" late draft picks, plus a very protected 2013 at the earliest Grizz 1st round pick, plus a Bad, short contract of a player that will not play half the season, for Flynn (I don´t believe we are shopping him already, makes no sense because no one will give anything for him right now, after the bad years he had on a mediocre franchise, on a mediocre system for him) and Motiejunas a player that will be 10x more effective at the next level then Vucevic and Jeremy Tyler combined, specially because of is quick feet and the ability to shoot quick turnaround jumpers, pump fake put the ball on the floor and finish around the rim, or pass off the hight post.

The Chandler Parsons pick is easy to understand if you really want to, he will be BUD 2.0 and be a backup SF after Bud gets traded in some package for a big time player (or minor trade), more complete then Bud, never will be a difference maker as a starting player.

As far as I'm concerned, these draft picks are total non-factors. If we gave them away for 3 million I wouldn't care.

All we need to do is get rid of Kevin Martin and Luis Scola and get the next top 5 pick in 2012.

    p.s. Marcus Morris is a b!tch.

For both the playoffs and this draft it was dumb. Every round it was not just the exact same song, but always the refrain going into and out of every single TV timeout. Combine it with the songs having absolutely nothing to do with basketball, sports, hustling, etc. or the draft.

It is like they are saying, we don't have enough money to have more than one song. Seriously? if that is the case then why not just create your own song, even just an instrumental hip hop or classical lead in/out would work even if it was repeated every 10 minutes.

Then on top of it the song choice is idiotic. Rolling in the Deep is about her boyfriend cheating on her. How on earth does that anything do to with the NBA draft?

NBA needs to go back to having bands write songs specifically for them like the Fort Minor song a few years ago or the classical piece Everyday by Carly Commando.

Somehow I have more faith in the Rockets analysis of these players than a poster on the internets.
