I thought we established a rule that your pick has to be in before the last game THAT WEEK starts... such as, if I wait until Monday night at 6PM, I can still pick... since in ANY given game you only have a 50/50 chance of surviving.
I don't remember that. I remember we agreed that if there is a Thursday or Saturday game you could pick one of those before they started but otherwise you had to get your pick in before the first game on Sunday. Anybody else remember this rule change?
I remember people picking right before the Monday night games last year. It makes sense really, why should people be disqualified automatically if there's still a team out there for them to pick that hasn't played yet?
I've looked at some of the threads from last year and I don't see anybody choosing before a Monday night game. I am not saying you're wrong, I just don't see that happening last week.
Check the year before then? I think last year was the year I got knocked out in week 1, so I didn't really follow it. The year before that, I was in the final 3, and I think we had a dust up about the Monday night picks.
I think at some point this issue came up, and really you're only putting yourself at a disadvantage by picking after games have started. But I see nothing wrong with it, as long as you have your pick in before the game starts.
If others don't have a problem with it then we can implement it. I just think 5-7 days is ample time to review the schedule and make a decision but if others like this idea we can go with it. Thanks.
I just think it would help avoid drama later on. As long as they get it in before the last game of the week kicks off, I say let it stand.
