As I have now repeated twice: I am concerned about his emotional maturity. The Rockets chose to ignore these issues in EG when they drafted him and we all know how that turned out. The guy is very raw, has personality and maturity issues (he's either immature or stupid), is somewhat uncoachable and is approaching this draft approx. 25 lbs overweight which speaks to his level of commitment. I find that somewhat troubling but I realize that many folks here are anxious to see him in Rockets red. Speaking just for myself, I'd pass. Why go looking for trouble?
I didnt cuss to anyone. Dont start on any name calling over the internet tough guy. You wouldnt talk to me in real life face to face like that and you wont do it over the internet either. You need to step away from the keyboard and calm down before you adress another adult like that. You dont know who you are dealing with over the internet. it could be anybody.
You've obviously never seen this kid play -- there's nothing raw about him.. he's ready to contribute from day one.
Bulls, Knicks, Miami... all these teams have basically made a skeleton team and depleted their draft picks in an effort to clear cap space for multiple max tier free agents. The bulls seem like the only destination where a Lebron and PF could go and have a good chance at winning. Even with 2 max salary type players, I don't think Knicks or Miami can create enough of a supporting cast to be able to win against the Lakers. What can Houston offer that is different than any other team?
I think we move down now more likely. That seems like their thing but I would rather stay pat or move up. No more moving back. There isnt anyone in the backend of the draft this year who is gonna help this team win a Championship. So best player available is good.
Substance is nice but this free agent market seems to be all about location. Consider Dwayne Wade. He won't even consider a place like Houston - he will go to either NY, Miami or Chicago. As for LeBron: why would he come here? After all he's played in Cleveland which is not that much different than from Houston. And I have a sneaking suspicion that Bosh will follow LeBron to where ever. That leaves what? Joe Johnson? Kinda underwhelming.
Sure I would. You are stamping your feet like a toddler. Don't be surprised if you get spanked like one.
Yep, that's exactly right and we have the best pieces as of now to make a run at a championship with one of those elite players. Brooks, Martin, Ariza are all young guns who will be here a long time and if we get a LBJ or a Wade then we could win multiple championships (not to mention we still have Yao). One of them HAS to see that, right?
Location is overrated. NBA players play 42 games away from their "home" and most don't do too much during the season anyways. If they wanted to go to a hotspot, they would go during the offseason when they can enjoy spending time for leisurely activities. I would think that location is one of the lowest on the totem pole in terms of priorities. That is just my opinion though.
No you wouldnt. Believe me. A person on the internet could be totally different in real life. Your naive response over the internet tells me you wouldnt be ready. You cant even discern a persons response over the posts to mean they look a certain way in life. You have delusions and fantasies on how I might be before you even meet me. That tells me alot of how unready you are in life to back any of that up.
Sorry, couldn't read the whole thread...is there a live stream of the draft somewhere on the net? Thanks.
