I was on the fence about it, but figured that by the letter of the law, this is where it really belonged. But I did put about 6 hours into it, so on second thought I think I'm going to post a thread anyway and let the mods do as they must.

Get rondo, and trade allen for a lottery pick. I have no problem with him being a headache on the court, as long as he pass the ball and play defense.

OR he knows he has all-star potential, wants big money, and the celtics are afraid they can't resign him, which are stated in the article.

Goodness, I can't wait for the draft.

Even though we don't have a pick, I just wanna see if one of our players get moved.

It's always interesting to see different players play for us.

I really think Rubio is going to be a Kidd/Nash level player. I would do the trade. But the salary doesn't match and I scratch my head over why they need Brooks. They already have Mayo and Conley.

Maybe they ship him off for another pick?

I predict no trades to go down. That way, even the smallest deal with make me excited.

    Moreys REAL Lottery Draft Target...

I for one just can not understand why Morey would be targeting a PG (this is assuming the rockets really are trying to get in the top 5) like so many around here have said (and with reason, Morey said the draft is loaded with top heavy PGs but quality elsewhere is lacking.)

With the play of Brooks and Lowery in the playoffs and down the stretch this year I really can't see a rookie being a significant upgrade over them within the next 2 years.

Then I have seen alot of trade proposal rumors including landry+ T-Mac for different top 5 picks.

Putting this all together I really think if Morey makes a splash its going to be for Thabeet. Size, height, length, athleticism, height, rebounds, blocks, height, potential, upside, did I freakin mention height (no more 6'6 PFs and Cs) I really feel like Morey could go after this guy (and if he gets him be able to stomach losing Landry.) He could back-up Yao, develope his skills, work on his offensive game, and if yao goes down again your starting center isn't shorter than your starting SG. (Plus imagine him and yao both in there at the end of games protecting the rimwhile having Battier and Ron harrass the wings... I bet that gives JVG wood..)

I really think this guy looks like a 21 yr old Dikembe Mutombo, so who better than him to take the torch from the original.

    Just my opinion...

    thabeet = bust

    Mark it down

He is too thin and is going to get abused by faster stronger C/PF and isn't as good of a shot blocker as deke

I dont really care for him, I see him being a flop. I'd rather find someone else to back up Yao.

He doesn't stand out in the NCAA final at all... guess he has the length but lack the anticipation and other qualities of the Dikembe package

I don't think Morey specifically wants a PG, it's just that that's where the value will be. I.e., the 5th best point guard might be the 10th best player, but he will definitely go lower than #10, because a lot of teams don't want a point guard. So, he could pick up the 10th best player at #14 or #15.

I think Morey is bluffing when he talks about the draft. It's a weak draft, despite everyone typical excitement in the runup.

He will inflate the value of these draft guys. Trade T-Mac for a pick and stiffs, then repackage this pick with slightly different stiffs to get a real player in return from yet a different team.

So T-Mac turns into a real player with a decent contract.

Can't agree with you there. Thabeet has more athleticism in his pinky toe than Hibbert has in his whole body. They're not remotely similar players ... other than the fact that they both play the same position.
