You DO realize all our "picks" were in the second round?

No one predicts people in the second round will help out a team immediately.

You're giving people a reason to quote you, adding some snarky comments to their post. Myself included.

How can you say "too early to tell" for Green but "sucks" for Dorsey when they've both been in the league for one season, Dorsey barely saw the floor and Green only got 13.2 minutes per game? To me that should be "too early to tell" for both

I wonder who out of the three drafted is most likely to see the floor next season.

I get that, but what else do you expect the Rockets do in a weak NBA draft in which they have no picks?

You have to assume that these players are pieces of a larger trade, bargaining tools to sign Wafer or whomever, or what not. Even if they they payed a few million dollars for these picks, they end up not making the team, it does not hurt the salary cap situation and it seems that Les & Morey are willing to take that gamble.

I can understand skepticism in sense you cannot expect any of these players to be Rockets hero's or even sidekicks. But it seems more like disappointment, like it was expected for the Rockets to perform a draft day miracle.

This attitude in respect to trades for bigger name stars that a number of other teams have managed to pull off may be reasonable as we have not yet done anything, despite us still having 2-3 months. But in respect to us buying these picks, it's pointless.

Not that im buying too much into it but why was it that Morey went out his way to buy the rights of 2 pgs when we have Brooks/Lowry. They are young enough. Wouldn't the smart thing be to sign a veteran if he was looking for pg depth??

Taylor is a SG just PG sized. Llull's not coming over for a year or two because of no buyout.

My verdict is still on hold for these picks. I would have liked a backup center with actual size, but with this draft it probably woudlnt have been possible.

Can anybody tell me when summer league starts?
and also what the probable summer league roster will look like?

With 3 new draft picks and a host of international players, I'm actually kinda excited to see these guys in action.

Never oogled over Novak.....Spanoulis was because Rafer was crap, all I ever wanted was for VSpan to get some run to see if he could eventually replace the garbage formerly known as Skip to my Lou.

Fair enough......they both suck...is that better?

Actually you make a good point....

But I want players that can fill holes now, not in the future.

    NOW !!

Why not make a move for mullens when he was there in the early 20zs? Make the move predraft and then roll. I've been disappointed in the rox course before, but this ranks up with the worse. Carter and jefferson were given away and the rox under morey have yet to draft a player over 6'9 to play the 4/5 spot.
