Wow they totally read my mind. I was praying for Arthur+2nd rounder. This goes from disappointment to utter jubilation. Rockets are ready to win NOW. Now get CDR, Chalmers, Hendrix, Jordan. CDR makes the most sense unless we're looking at dealing Scola for Miller.

I like getting an early 2nd rd pick, but why would you trade for Arthur? The Rockets are solidified at the 4 spot. They need a back-up athletic swingman like Batum. This is puzzling. I'm not giving the Rockets the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Hell yes!!! Arthur and an early second round pick with the talent that's available? This looks to set up another trade with Landry/Scola for maybe Miller in the off season. SOOO glad I'm off tomorrow from work as I would not be able to sleep right now! :D

    IN MOREY I TRUST!

Not whining, just very confused by this pick. However if the trade is real, then this makes much more sense.

Hopefully we get the 33rd pick in that trade, gives us a better chance at CDR at a better value.

What I don't get is why another 6'9 power forward unless they don't think we will keep Scola or Landry. Another trade in the wings?

With Yao and Landry being as injury prone as they are? Scola/Deke/Arthur as a frontcourt, not too shabby.

You don't waive what you can trade.

Yes, eventually. We can't wait more than 2 years, perhaps even 1 year with our two fragile superstars.

Hey man....I'mdone trying to guess what our management is gonna do. All I know is Morey seems to have a good track record. I'll ride with him until he shows otherwise....

Edit: And I feel bad for the Arthur kid....but if what happens makes him come in motivated (ala Paul Pierce) then it's all good. He still gets guarenteed dough....

i heard someone compare arthur to jamison. Is that a fair comparison, if so we could use him at the three as well

Don't be shocked if the Rockets try Arthur (some) as a big 3. He's got the face-up game and the athleticism to do it. Similar to Antawn Jamison.

I think Arthur is a bigger better version of Landry. Trading Landry now while his value is high makes a lot of sense. But the same can be said for Scola. I would rather keep Scola out of the two. Or we could just keep them all and again, have the best bigs in the league. Plus, if Yao goes down again we have better depth.

So did we get the 33 or 36th pick?

I'm still hoping for DeAndre Jordan. Good backup for Yao. Wouldn't mind CDR or Greene.

I feel you on this and it makes sense if the Rockets can get CDR. Can Arthur really play the 3? I just hope the Rockets aren't thinking about moving Landry because he is a proven commodity. There's just not enough mins at the PF position to go around.
