    dont think its a matter of being in shadow. our team has a huge need for an athletic PF that YJL fits. Yao would cover his deficiencies as he isnt strong enough/isnt used to american styled basketball.

    remember getting accustomed to the nba is a huge part of the transition, with yao there the transition would be very smooth.

    im saying this hypothetically, i really doubt we can trade all the way up to #6 for the rights to YJL

    what's so great about YJL? he didn't even dominate CBA like Yao did. he looks athletic when he plays in CBA, not sure how he will do against nba players. I don't think he's at the same level as amare when amare entered nba. #6 is kind of high for him.

    I'm in the Rockets media room ... pretty cool in here. Nice grub.

    Nothing too exciting yet. No one seems to know much about a Diogu rumor. I'm looking forward to when Morey or some top rep comes down to talk to us after the Rockets pick.

    Personally, I don't want YJL to be a Rockets, he can't really solve our problem in the next 2 years and we are in the "win now" mode... Other than that, I woud say Yi is a mixed product between Dirk and AK47..

    i believe he was top 5... well bottom half of the top 5 (4 or 5). but he ended up at 8.
