pretty amazing what this turned into. 2007 we draft brooks and landry. rafer turns into lowry. vspan turns into scola. god this team would be dead in the water without morey.
That was my first response! I love calling things from the start! They even traded Rafer to get a backup point guard for Brooks!
Put the shovel down, and stop digging things up from the grave to toot your own horn. LOL. <a href="http://photobucket.com/images/cookie" target="_blank"><img src="http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg172/IThinkAboutTheEvil/cookie.jpg" border="0" alt="cookie Pictures, Images and Photos"/></a>
I love how many people here had boners for Josh McRoberts, of all people. You'd think he was the second coming of Bill Walton -- instead, he's been a near-total washout.
Wow 90% of the people that posted in this thread look like idiots now haha. Hindsight is 20/20 though.
Thanks Rockets2K. It's funny how people are quick to jump on me when I was right! I followed Brooks at University of Oregon and everyone was against Houston picking him so "early" in the draft because they had never heard of him or, if they had, thought he would be very limited due to his size. Despite the fact that he carried the Ducks to the Elite 8. The Ducks gave the eventual champion, the Florida Gators a run for their money. The Gators had Al Horford, Corey Brewer, Joakim Noah, Marreese Speights. Nobody else from this Ducks team ended up having any success in the NBA. I would say that overall the Gators overmatched them, but Brooks 27 points kep them pretty close. By the way here's an interesting fact that you guys may not know. When they brought Yao over to the United States and he had his 45 minute workout session, it was against the Ducks center Chris Christofferson (no relation to the singer)...
