So we now have the T-Mac of the Outback, T-Mac of the Greeks, and T-Mac of the States?

exactly, lets give this some time before we all start complaining and saying Morey sucks.

Lets see how everything unfolds first. I was pissed last year when we didn't get Gay, but look how well the Battier trade turned out.

I want to be positive about this but its hard right now !! There absolutely has to be a trade in the making because we can't play with 20 midget guards !! Its not going to happen tonight but it will happen this summer !! We will get a big name PF just wait and see !! I know we don't have the best front office but no one not even Isiah Thomas is that dumb !! The super star stud PF is coming !!

    Legitimate question...

I know everyone is saying we are going to trade Head/JL3/Alston/V-span/etc.,
but now that we have like 8 guards, doesn't that devalue the trade value of who we offer, because other teams know that we are pretty much desperate to trade some of these guys away?

Well Les, :p this is what you get when you put a non Basketball Guy in charge of selecting your Roster Composition.
Morey :p I don't think you used statistics or basketball knowledge on this occasion as your picks were just awful and this your first draft seems to have been an exercise in futility.
The fans had hoped that at the worst your selections might be able to help the rockets in a season or two but their impression is that you have selectd three player who will not .
You have made the Rockets a laughing stock of the NBA.
Most of us fans feel that we could have done better with a blindfold on
To be kind and polite I have refrained from using the sort of language that this reply SHOULD contain and deserves. Y

    Orlando Pre-Draft Camp: Day Three
    June 1, 2007
After a very quiet first half, Newley woke up to a certain extent with a 6-point outburst in the span of one minute that showed off a lot of the potential that makes him an intriguing guy as far as the 2nd round is concerned. The most emphatic of his plays was a fantastic foray into the paint after creating his own shot from the perimeter and extremely athletic finish with a two-handed dunk

    http://www.nbadraft.net/2007predraftcamp004.asp
Brad Newley had a solid performance with 9 points on 3-5 shooting, he had the dunk of the game with an impressive drive dribbling past his man through the lane and throwing down a thunder dunk.

Thanks for the insightful post you just enlightened the whole forum with. I appreciated it and im sure the rest of us did as well. I am in no way a BOF. Please tell me who you would have drafted instead of Newley who was going to help this team win? I would love to know

And of course i am slightly biased to a fellow countrymen. Its only natural to be.

If anything you are the one who is stinking up the forum with your pointless, uninformative and uninteresting posts.

    Yours truely - The Aussie

Sura's expiring + Head for Chris Wilcox ... Seattle's got Durant & doesn't need 7million playing 10 minutes and after trading Allen may need some back up shooting with Head. Would throw in Rafer to get something back from Seattle to make numbers work.

I don't believe this is all the Rockets will do to upgrade the team. I am sure some trade is in the works and July 1st is this weekend maybe next week we will see how Morey will make up for tonight's I don't WTF went on. :D

i think i've proven that YOF's aren't the only ones that lack a sense of humor. :p

anyways, i'm not going to judge any of our draft picks by their scouting reports or how they ranked in the mock drafts. There is no way to simulate playing 82+ games in the nba in pre-draft workouts and everything else won't tell you that much if someone can play or not.

think pornstars, don't judge their ability on looks alone. You HAVE to see them perform in a real setting to determine if they are winners or not.

Absolutely! It's such a rare thing for someone using a pseudonym to b**** about something they don't like via the Internet.

Basically in the draft, Morey is stating that Landry is better than Splitter, McRoberts, Fazekas, & Big Baby.

You could basically just switch Brooks & Landry's position, but that Brooks wouldn't have been there at 31 cuz I'm hearing Phoenix would have picked him. Also, we all know Les wouldn't have paid Splitter's buyout, so him no longer available at 31 makes no difference.

So the question is not is Brooks a good pick. It is will Landry be better than those guys and be able to play PF for us?
