I am so envious of Portland right now...GOD I hate the NBA draft. Next to early May (around the time we can knocked out of the first round), the NBA draft is starting to become the second most painful 'event' to watch as a Rockets fan.

I just can't help but get the feeling that while most 'above average' NBA franchises are constantly on the move, the Rockets are ALWAYS stuck in the mudd; always good but not good enough to matter on the NBA landscape. Even crappy teams are 'on the move', trying to find ways to improve themselves. The Rockets? It's like a broken tape, a rerun of the same bad episode, only you can't find the remote to change the channel.

Oh well, I am probably overreacting right now, so I will sleep on it...

I'm so excited that at #54, we should be able to choose between Taurean Green, Bobby Brown, & Jared Jordan!!!

Our team will have the highest Assist to Turnover ratio in the league!!!!!

I have never seen anything remotely like what Allen is doing.

    What are the cap ramifications?

What a nightmare of an evening!

unless The Rox front office is literally as dumb as a box of rocks they have to realize the PF position. SO, either 1. RA has invented a scheme that somehow eliminates the PF position completely (not likely), or 2. there is a big trade coming down. I just expected that trade to happen today.

Unless, the trade doesn't involve aaron brooks. Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't that then mean they'd have to wait till July 1st? Better be the case.

It was Sacramento who was interested in Brooks according to Draftexpress.com. That rumor is from yesterday though, not tonight.

Brooks is a shoot first guard. He's not going to be making life easier for our stars because of his speed. He's just another (super) undersized combo guard.

And Blazers still have 2 more 2nd round picks to go. Wow, it's like more than half of the team will be rookies.

that's the second time in a year now. it's does tend to make the salary cap a joke. isn't that supposed to keep things fair, so teams can be competitive by not allowing a team to hog all the talent in free agency.

Well look at the bright side

Brooks is probably already better than Rafer

And Landry is better than Hayes

as bad as our pg and pf was last season we couldn't go wrong in the draft.

So Adelman was trying to screw up the Kings by pick an unneccessary under sized PG?

I feel the need to clarify why my rage is SO much greater than what I felt during last year's draft.

We knew that a legit lottery pick was at least on the way back for Rudy Gay.

But this year, after the total CHOKE JOB ON OUR OWN HOME COURT BY JVG AND COMPANY, the ONLY holes on our team following the Mike James trade is at PF and Shooting Guard (bench scoring).

If we could just get more size and lhave a somewhat more relevant bench, that would have been a success, but instead, we have watched virtually EVERY SINGLE TEAM MAKE A TRADE AND GET BETTER, BUT THE ROX!!!!!

Now, to watch every team in the Western Conference get better while we will undoubtedly drop from 4th seed to maybe 7th because we continue to lack the 1 think that this game demands, Players who know how to shoot the ball!!!!! This is what is making me absolutely crazy.

And the icing on top of everything is that Utah wound up with the single best shooter in the entire draft, 3rd leading scorer in the nation while playing at tiny Rice University!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Daryl, now I know why JVG was calling you out on all your Bullsh*t on his way out of town. You're clearly a lying piece of crap who will say whatever you think fans want to hear.

I can't wait to hear you rationlize this turd of a draft to those of us who were once again hoping for a reason, any reason to believe!!!!!

So much for taking advantage of the deepest draft we'll see for many, many years!!!!

HOnestly, I don't know what everyone is so ticked off about. At that point, all our primary options had been taken up: Sean Williams, Almond, Crittenton!!! Seriously, what PF could we really have taken to help us ??? McRoberts fell for a reason, he's a softie!! Splitter was the only guy who we could have considered, but he has a huge buyout for his spanish team, and you dont take a foreign guy who needs a buyout in the 1st rd, just ask the Orlando Magic and Fran Vasquez!!

    brad newley.

chad ford compared him to manu ginobili
ron miekle, hawks scout compared him to dan majerle

rockets were one of three or five teams to go and scout him in australia.

    brooks better than rafer?

rafer is one of the best ball handlers in the league and a good passer.

    this draft has me dissapointed.

Great Draft for Portland...I was hoping to get Almond, but f'n Jazz...Note sure our PG need was addressed, I mean, we've been needing one for years, so I hope Brooks is a gamer...

Durant w/o Allen is tough, especially with the possibility of no Lewis either...However, Durant will be on a lot of highlight reels...
