All I can say is that there better be a trade in the works. This move makes no sense especially with all the small guards we have. Seriously, the draft pick was so bad (so far) that I'm expecting some people to find a way to blame JVG for this selection.
I'm on record that this pick is stupid if there isn't a trade. You gotta understand as a Houston sports fan we are used to our mgmt doing some pretty dumb things so sometimes the frustration boileth over. There better be a trade though.......

Even if there is a trade pending - and I REALLY hope there is, why would you reach for an 6 foot, undersized shooting guard? Why? You couldn't find a better guard via FA, CBA, trade filler? This is a poor pick no matter how you look at it. You always take the best player available and worry about where you put him later or how you fill holes. This guy is a second round pick at BEST and now we have his guaranteed contract to hold while he picks up tips from JL3. Unless we picked Brooks for someone else (which I doubt) - this was a horrible pick. Draft day makes me embarrassed to be a Rocket fan...
I haven't posted in ages. I'm seriously lacking in the sleep department. I decide to stay up long enough to see us finally get a legit PF, and we end up getting another PG. Now I've got to stay up longer now just to make certain we're involved in a trade, and not doing some moronic impression of bad management. Please someone wake me up and tell me I'm having a nightmare. As long as I'm dreaming, maybe Brookes is the next coming of A Iverson, but we all know JL3, 4 or 5. Am I now counting sheep?
