Those were really the good ole days, when we were down 2-0 to Utah and punked them in game 5 of the first round to move on. Only to later be down 3-1 to Phoenix, which I beleive no team had ever come back from either deficit; yet we still came back and defended the title. I certainly don't see this as a lost cause yet, if we win Friday, it's anyone's game from there, it's just 0-2 people, it's been done before. Good thread.
This is exactly what I've said REPEATEDLY to everyone I know! It pisses me off so much that everyone writes them off and says they suck. I've said from the start the series would go seven and that the Rockets would beat the Fakers. Even if we don't I've truly believe all along that we would. Clutch City, that's us, believe and tell all!

On a serious note......I have mixed feelings about our chances to rebound in this series. We definately do not have any player that has the right to even look at Hakeem's jock strap. On the other hand.......players are made in the playoffs. I feel that LA will win(if not sweep) the series. You never know tho. I thought Phoenix with Charles had us two years in a row. I hope my pessimism(sp) pays off again .
I still believe and will watch all the games until we are eliminated. Not to sound pessimistic but there is a missing X-factor that this team doesn't have that our other teams had in the glory days; The Dream. I dare the Rockets to prove me wrong, I really thought that they would steal a game in LA, and almost did with game 1. If we can win one on Friday night the pressure is all on LA because we are the underdogs in this one and they are supposed to beat us (sound familiar?). Yao will have had 4 days rest and should be ready to lock and load against the diesel. Francis coming off of his best game of the season. This is how legends are made... GO ROCKETS!!!
i dunno. there is one player on this team that definitely has the passion, determination, and other-worldly talent that dream had. his name is steve francis. and he will carry us to the promised land.
That was a team that won the championship the previous year and group of veteran players who knew what it took to win.
How bout we actually give this team a chance? Its stuff like that that made the rockets of old an amazing surprise. If you dont believe we can win fine, but when we do win, dont say you knew it all along.....back to positive posts
Re-live the Championship years, again... live... On DVD. Order "Clutch" and "Double Clutch" from NBA.com. Then watch the rest of this year turn into something BIG.
Well said. Have faith until that last breath is taken. Your not dead until that last breath is taken and your gone. The Rockets are by no means gone. Statistics you can shove up somewhere. How about you keep faith and be a true fan and cheer when they are winning and if we don't make it past the lakers....cheer that we made it somewhere that we haven't in 5 years. Be optomistic. Last year you would have died to be in the playoffs this year you are ruling them out already? Be a Fan
