If Tinman had his own forum, it would be my homepage.

The only word that pops into mind from all this is 'family'.

And that is not necessarily always a good thing.

Plenty of times you can have people in your own family with whom you cannot even stand to be in the same room.

Take a family with something like 5 brothers in it, all fairly close in age. They all scrap all the time, hurt each other, fight, pull pranks on each other, and quite frankly really dislike each other sometimes.

But at the same time, they are family. They share the same blood. So if someone comes along from outside the family, and says something against one of the brothers, all the other brothers jump into the fray to defend him, even if only 5 minutes before they were all piling on him themselves.

'We can throw rocks inside our own house, because it's OUR house. But don't you dare come into our house and throw rocks, if you are not part of this family!'

I think what tinman so ineloquently and drunkenly is trying to say, is that it is fine for people to come and join our family here, but if you want to start scrapping and throwing rocks, then you better first really truly become a member of the family - and that means learning the roots, the history (what little of it there is, compared to some place like Boston, for example).

Lastly, while it is clear that tinman and someone like myself could not be more different as people, we still share the 'family' of the Rockets in our blood, and, as much as I find this whole thing distasteful and embarrassing, we are still brothers nevertheless.

    they should have several forums:

    Tinman Forum:
You need to answer test questions to enter,
sample: name the scrub hogging up the space when David Stern presented the Rockets the 1st trophy
    answer: Larry Robinson

    Pryuen Forum:
you need to put the password to get in
    the password is three letters
I'll let you figure it out

    Benchwarmer Forum:
For the Vspan and Malik Badaine people
    password is : "IWASTMACINMYCOUNTRY"

    Vince Young Forum:
    the password is "PLAYAHATERS"

    Nerd Forum:
for Sony Playstation and World of Warcraft people who get angry if you insult their lack of rumble controllers or someone stole their magic points
    password "FANBOY"

Why can't we, as fans of the Houston Rockets, be critical towards them on and off the court. Whether it's play on the court, or conduct off the court.

Just cause they can rebound or shoot a 3 doesn't mean they do not need to miss child support payments, or it's okay for them to run somebody off the road.

Name the scrub to whom Mario Elie directed the Kiss of Death.

Technically didn't he direct it towards the Suns entire bench?
Then Kenny (or Cassell?) came up and mugged him IIRC...

    Good times...

    Bingo, nice.

    A: so easy dude, CB4.

    Opinion question:
Which NBA franchise was the most negatively impacted by Rockets' mid 1990s greatness?

oh i read the question wrong. but the team that negatively impacted the Rockets was either the Sonics or the Spurs

i'm going to let other people answer. this could be tricky, there's the obvious answer and their's the not so obvious.

the not so obvious is the Spurs.

A tom donahey like call when the Rockets lost to overtime when David Robinson made a basket, like 5 minutes after the game was over. Gene Peterson yelling obscenities on the radio. That screwed us with the home court advantage.

The other one was the highway robbery of Dennis Rodman to the Bulls for Wennington. That just made Chicago win more titles cause Rodman was really important in rebounding vs Malone and then skinny Shawn Kemp.
thus making them seem more invincible than the Rockets.

also the biggest tank in NBA history. they purposely didn't play DRobinson so they can get Duncan at #1!!!!! What cheaters!

    1) Phx
    2) SA
    3) Utah
    4) NYK
    5) Orlando

Those Suns teams were legit title contenders and could have won it all both years. Spurs ended up getting their rings and Utah had 2 shots to win it later in the decade.
