Well, I get home from work only to find out that McCaffrey scored 12 fantasy points, but in the process broke his left leg and is out for the season. I knew something like this was going to happen. My starters were just too damn good.

I would rather have taken a loss in the first game than to have McCaffrey gone for the year.

Damn you DARO! I knew you had gotten Kennison already. I didn't even bother looking!

Yea ..That stinks..Ed was one of my fav. players to watch. What a warrior AND he held on to the ball as he snapped his leg.....INCREDIBLE !

I picked up Kennison before they even had the air cast on.

    Pending League Trade:

The following trade has been accepted by both teams involved and is now subject to league approval.

    Transaction 292923-201, Sep 14 2001 4:46PM

Team "Ren's Roughnecks" sends Michael Bennett(Bench)   to Team "Joe Joe's Mojo" (Off. Flex)

Team "Ren's Roughnecks" sends Tony Gonzalez(TE)   to Team "Joe Joe's Mojo" (TE)

Team "Ren's Roughnecks" sends Ronde Barber(Def. Flex)   to Team "Joe Joe's Mojo" (Def. Flex)

Team "Joe Joe's Mojo" sends Tyrone Wheatley(Off. Flex)   to Team "Ren's Roughnecks" (Bench)

Team "Joe Joe's Mojo" sends Jerome Pathon(Bench)   to Team "Ren's Roughnecks" (Off. Flex)

Team "Joe Joe's Mojo" sends Marvin Minnis(Bench)   to Team "Ren's Roughnecks" (Off. Flex)

Team "Joe Joe's Mojo" sends Kyle Brady(TE)   to Team "Ren's Roughnecks" (TE)

Am I missing something here or did Ren just get raped in this trade? You give up Tony Gonzalez who is far and away the #1 TE in the league. You give up Michael Bennett who IMO will end up posting very impressive #'s with Minnesota this season. You give up the #1 cornerback on one of the NFL's top 3 team defenses. And all you get is Tyrone Wheatley who will not even get a starter's share of carries with Garner around, Marvin "One Big Catch" Minnis, Jerome "Appear then Disappear" Pathon, and Kyle "Butterfingers" Brady. I know I am your friend and I knew of your affection for Minnis, but to go to this extreme just to have him on your team is ludicrous. If you wanted one of Trent Green's weapons on your team, then you had the biggest, baddest weapon already in place with Gonzalez. I told you over and over not to just give away Bennett because he is going to be special, but you didn't listen because you "didn't know who he was". I won't criticize the Barber giveaway as much as the first two because there are suitable replacements on the waiver wire. Pathon had a good first week, but don't expect those number every week much less every other week. Wheatly is part of a running-back-by-committee with Garner and you will be disappointed in the production he provides you. Minnis has talent, but you got to remember that he is a rookie in this league and his lone catch against the Raiders was the highlight TD catch. That was his only catch! Brady isn't as bad as a lot of the tight ends in the league, but I am not too confident in his ability to stay healthy. Anyway, that is my take on the trade. I know it is a bit harsh, but when I saw that you had accepted it, words couldn't describe my thoughts.

I would have traded all 4 players for Gonzalez.

I added Barber to my proposal because Ren was loaded with quality defensive players . I would have taken any of his defenders.

Bennett was an after thought. I saw him as a bench player and acted. He'll be a bench player for me till he proves something or Henry falls from favor.

Minnis did have a great preseason and has the skills to excel in his rookie year, like Moss but not to that degree. Its hypocritical in my mind to dog Minnis for being a rookie when Bennett is also a rookie. Minnis is more ready than Bennett despite the trend of Rookie RBs doing better than WRs. I like Boston as my WR and Rbs as my flex so he won't play a week for me.

Wheatley is still better than Bennett, IMO. I would prefer to keep him over Bennett if that would satisfy others. He still gets enough carries to be better than all but 15-20 RB. I have him higher than Henry which is why he started over him.

Pathon...if Manning throws as many touchdowns as he should this year....he'll score decently...worthy of third or 4th WR on a fantasy team. I will only play one WR at a time so he has no value to me since Boston's bye has passed.

Brady....not a bad TE..not a great TE. He's in the deal to lessen the lose of Gonzalez.

I would be getting a great deal and they tend to get cancelled. I wouldn't feel like anyone is a jerk for contesting this trade. Ren will probably play three of my guys regularly (Minnis, Wheatley, and Brady) while I will only play Gonzalez regularly unless injury or suckage by a starter forces in Bennett or Barber.

This was my first high bid. I would have caved to Gonzalez and any of his defensive players. My first proposal is always to let another owner I'm interested in a player(s) and hope for a counter offer. Ren wanted Minnis who was in the original offer. My first bid isn't usually meant as a serious proposal, but as conversational starter.

    Who wouldn't have?

I did protest the trade. I feel it is best to let the league know how you feel about a certain trade. Jerk or no jerk, this trade just isn't fair!

    CC,

Just letting you know there is no collusion. I wanted to let Dvauthin know that contesting a trade isn't taking personally, well by me atleast since he seemed concerned about his league reputation.

To answer your question, a person that needs help at the offensive would do that trade. See NJ Nets;)

im not accusing you of collusion-ive just seen leagues in the past who get pissed off if you protest any deal

i dont think this deal was collusionary, my concerns are that guys panic after one week-like i think ren did, and make deals just to make deals, and hurt the competitive balance of the league

I protested, not because, i think you guys conspired or anything, just because i think ren is getting raped and i want to try an maintain a fair competitive balance as much as i can, while being open to others feelings-thats why i wanted to make sure im not coming across as a jerk

I will quit if this trade doesent go through and I will just access my roster enough where no other owners can claim my team and I will also put the worst team possible without waiving anyone that anyone really wants!

    Just j/k:rolleyes:

Actually,to tell the truth I will be a little ticked off if the trade doesent go through!Although I dont think anyone would be a "jerk" if they contest it.It is every owners choice to contest the trade. As I said in my other leagues, you cant get me mad or offend me in any way what so ever,I may be the most laid back person you could ever meet.

I still would hate losing Gonzalez for Brady but out of the 4 players I would be getting three will be playing for me right off the bat and Weatley is just insurance in case George or Anderson goes down.I would rather have Weatley over Bennett also.Speaking of Bennett I was thinking of waiving him anyways and Barber has NO use on my team,as he will not play many games for me as I have a pretty good defense.

I think you guys may be mad that JoJo will have an over all dominate team after this trade,he maybe need to upgrade his defense a little but other than that has a really solid team.

If you guys want my opinion I think Minnis will be a threat this year , THIS ISNT THE CHIEFS TEAM OF A YEAR AGO . I think people are wary of him because Cheifs rookie Sly Morris caught 3 TD's last year in one game and that was his only game with a TD . Morris sounds like Minnis I guess . That catch by Minnis was the only catch by a Cheifs WR in the Raiders Game . But Derrick Alexander was injured And couldnt make any catches , So look for Snoop to get some catches because Dick Vermeil will throw to him more than Gunther Cuningham would have .

Are you ready for some football!!!

Still trying to trade Micheal Bennett starting TB Vikings for a top 24 RB or top 17 WR. I rank players very closely with www.fftoday.com.

I am looking for a stable guy with a decent two year run. I am trying to trade good potential for some certainty. I already have another rookie RB.

I have 4 players left to score some points for me and Da Ro's has had only two players with any FPs(Peyton(39)and his K).

So,I guess Im looking at 0-2:mad:

    Im already ready to quit:(

WoW can't believe you guys protested that trade.
Protest should be reserved for anything you honestly think is collusion.
I think after this week we all should know it's just a crap shoot, anyway and none of us know diddly !..I mean look at the day pathon had.Wouldn't you have felt bad if the trade was nixed ? I had some ppl try to protest a culpepper trade for griese and flutie last year....look how that turned out. :)
