My assumption is to assume the worst.
Hill-32 (He had excellent statistics in France in which he played on the same team as Michael Pietras
Wright-17-He's has a couple of good games and is playing in Isreal. He could be brought onto the team
    Baldine-7
    Maddox-7
Nachbar-6 I think that he has been psycholocially scarred by this tournament, I hope that he can help the Rockets.

    Thanks you DoD.

Can you go out on limb and predict who gets invited, at least, to training camp from this bunch?

Thank you for all these great reports you have done!

    9 Bostjan Nachbar 8/16 2/5 14/15 32 1 4 5 3 3 1 1 1 41:18 proexposure.com

Seriously.....that's awesome! He shot 50%..made 14 free throws...had 5 rebounds...and ONLY 1 turnover. That's amazing. I don't know how he did that. Saved the best for last! Boki still has hope!

I honestly can't because I don't know what the heck the coaches are looking for.

I can only tell you that Jason Miskiri, Nachbar, and Badiane seemed to play well and receive attention from the coaches. Demarco Johnson, Brent Wright, Kyle Hill, and Shawnelle Scott had their moments, but does that qualify them for invites? Dunno.

I said it last year and I'll say it again, but if Tito Maddox gets an invite, I've lost all faith in NBA basketball. :)

    Attaboy Snackbar.

Snackbar is very smart...he sucks it up the first 4 games, so as not to make people think very much of him, but then he plays his normal game and drops 32, just so people don't think he sucks too much. Thus, he leaves the SPL with people still not having a clue what he's gonna do next season. Smart guy.

Thanks DoD. The behind-the-back dribble move and taking the ball up the court sounds like Mike Miller circa college years. Interesting.

DoD, thanks for the update. I have been reading all of them- very entertaining stuff.

Question- You seem to not be very impressed with Boki's 32 point performance. Do you think it was kind of a fluke? Were the coaches happy or were they unenthusiastic as well?

Read NIKEstrad's response. That's my response. ;) The coaches were happy, but I think they were more worried about his defensive lapses than his offensive prowess. Everybody on the bench seemed to be happy that Boki had apparently resurrected himself.

Like I said, all his moves and explosiveness to the basket were there before - but the shot just wasn't falling. Even en route to his 32 points, he still had rocky ride getting there. There were still airballs, for example. I'm still left wondering if this guy can gun in the NBA.

32 is great no matter how you slice it. 8 points a quarter....

I wonder how many minutes he played? Not the best Summer League all around, but ending strong was key.

I'm glad Boki finally had a good scoring game. Even though his shot isn't 100 percent there yet.

Boki finally shows some life. I hope this is like when Yao had his 1st 20 point game against the lakers. That's when it all seemed to come to him. Hopefully the same will happen for Boki.

    I think it's the previous game's score...
The right score is Rockets 86, Grizzlies 99.

    ...

Maybe Snackbar made his last chace. :D

Thanks Hungarian Rocket. I forgot to edit the score when I cut and pasted. The title had the score right, so I get 50% credit. ;)

i dont understand why people are acting like boki had his last chance and stuff like that.

The dude has a GUARANTEED contract for atleast another two more years, and is Mings only friend on the team. Even if Boki scored ZERO in every game he still would get play partly because of the love for underdogs, and love for his "heart" so he has nothing to worry about. Even if he reminds you of last preseason when a nobody Stephan Jackson ripped Boki a new one and had the compac center going "ohhhh" he still will never be cut. This is the same team that loved Langi. But atleast watching bokis arms flailing and flapping on Defense will give me a good laugh and make the games more entertaining.

Obviously some people seem to have problems reading, like the part of the recaps where DoD says that Boki plays decent defense..

Thanks for your hard work Doc...I appreciate it. Ever thought about sportswriting for a living?

Thanks for the recaps DoD, I've really enjoyed them. You've been my only outlet for actual Rockets game action (little upset that I did not hear any mention of the Rockets play in summer league games on any of the local news channels.)

A couple of points I noticed, seems like in a few years Malik could end up being a Keon Clark clone, which will make for an excellent pf/c backup. You also mentioned that the coaches were emphasizing defense and the running game which should fit this team perfectly. I have kept the faith in Boki, at least when he gets back with the Rockets, he won't be the focal point and should be able to relax. It sounds like he might have been forcing things a little too much in the summer league.
