Ah, very good effort but Rice grads don't take buses. But that comment only solidifies the elitist (wanna-be) stereotype.
Ow, touchy. I guess things have changed a little. I remember when Lake was built and essentially was created from Creek. Very congenial rivalry then.
The only die hard rockets fan in his country is here ! I'm from kuwait and all of you rocket fans can catch that with a simple look on my username I've been a rockets fan since 1993 when i came to houston at the summer . I liked houston very much for many reasons : 1- the first city which i spent a long time in usa . 2- denton colley the famous doctor cured my sister . she had some serious problems in her heart . the doctors in london weren't able to cure that illness for two years .. colley did it in just two weeks . as i remeber the hospital's name is texas childrens hospital (( located in texas medical center )) . but there was no attention for the rockets during my travel to houston . the 15-0 record ( 93-1994 season ) that i saw in a kuwaity newspaper drived me to think seriously of being a rocket fan . and after a few hours i decided to be a rockets fan in the rest my live . and hakeem encoureged me too especially when i knew that he's muslim . after that day i tried hard to collect every thing have a realtion with the rockets like caps and authintics ( I have the original hakeem jersey ) and posters of rockets logos ! * for those who speak several langauges . I speak arabic and persian along with english and every language with its special accent hehehe
I know I am a little late, but I am from a town near Frankfurt in Germany. I am only a fan since the title years but it`s hard to become a fan of a team, if the Finals is nearly all you could see live on TV. Today it`s still only 2-4 games a week and that`s barely the Rockets. So I asked a manufacturer of Satellite dishes if I could see DirecTV, if they sent me a decoder, but it is technically impossible to see it in Germany. You see, even if I had more time, I couldn`t discuss more with you about the Rockets, because I can be happy to see at least some of their games. Maybe one of you with a solidly working VCR can find out what it would cost to put games on tape and send them to Germany. Though I`m still a student I would definitely find some money for this. Thank you !!
Manchester, Tennessee (not England) is where I'm from although I have an uncle and 2 cousins that live in England. Manchester is halfway between Nashville and Chattanooga. I've liked the Rockets ever since '83. I used to have a pair of Ralph Sampson shoes, I think they were Pumas, that were the Rockets colors when I was in junior high school. Everybody used to give me a hard time because the shoes were the colors of our junior high's archrivals. I haven't seen anybody here who's from Tennessee, so I'd be curious if there is anybody out there that is from or lives in Tennessee.
Nice idea Azim da dream. It would be so cool to be able to see were all the CC-netters are residing. Still no other swedes here? Anyone who´s from or has lived in Sevilla or Córdoba (or anywhere in Andalucía) in southern Spain. I studied spanish the last two semesters (aug 2000-may 2001). Anyone wanting to practice there linguistic skills You could try speeking swedish, spanish or german (only speek a little) with me.
Wale, there is another Nigerian here. Although this my first post, I've been following this site since '95, just after the second championship. I found out about the site through a link from Yahoo. I'm a Nigerian living in Germany - Berlin - since '93, and I've been a Rockets fan since Hakeem came, just like millions of other Nigerians. I'm sure I'll always be a Rockets fan, although understandably, a part of me now supports Toronto.
I am a first generation Chinese American and native Houstonian. I've been a Rockets fan since they moved from San Diego and have remained a true fan through the 14-68 seasons as well as the championship years. I went to college locally at HBU and witnessed many Rocket practices. I remember an ugly fight between Cliff Meeley and Jack Marin (at a Baptist gym). This is my first post but I"m a longtime, diehard Rockets fan.
I am from India. Came to Washington DC in 1994. been a rockets fan since then. Moved to Austin in 1996
Again, Thanks to tycoonchip. Great thread, in part measured by its ability to turn some long-time lurkers into posters. Welcome all.

Even when I was living in LA in mid 90's only guy wearing Rocket jersey's surrounded by yellow/purple FAKERS at the Great Western Forum. Raised in Huntsville and reside in New Mexico. By the way, an astonishingly large number of Americans don't realize Nuevo Mexico is one of the 50 states, so I'm a partial foreigner. ("I'm sorry sir, but we can't ship outside the US..." ) Anyone else from "The 'Ville?"
