Very mind boggling game. The Rockets took 14 more shots than the Warriors. They outrebound the No. 1 team in rebounds (50 to 43). They have more block shot (7-5) and less turnover (11 to 14). And they still lost the game. They have a poor shooting night (FG -37.1 % and 4 for 17 from the 3 point line for 23.5%). The Warriors only shoot about 42 % from the floor but only took 5 3- point shot and made 3 for 60%. The Warriors shoot free throw extremely well tonight (19-21 for 90.5%). If they make their usual 70 % FT clip then the Rockets would won the game. All the stastistics aside, Houston should have won this game due the fact that they got 3 days off and the Warriors was playing back to back games. Losing to them in those circumstances especially at home is not acceptable. Once again the Rockets play down to the opponents level and didn't bring their A game. I guess it is easier to said the right thing then actually back it up on the court. They need to find some scoring from their forward spots. At least one of those spot (either the SF or Pf) should be able to take some of the scoring pressure of the guard spot. Obviously they lose tonight because of poor shooting. Shooting 37 % will not win you a lot of ball game. The Rocket still play too much one on one at critical time of the game. Also, can we design some other plays then the one where Steve always took the tough jumper at the end. I know he make those shot before but that is not a high percentage shot. They should attack the basket for a closer shot or may be draw a foul if they don't make the shot.

This team needs a PG like Jason Kid who can control the tempo of the game. However, I don't think Yao has the speed to keep up with Jason.

    Warriors Rockets
    TEAM STATS TEAM STATS

    Fouls 20 Fouls 18
    Steals 7 Steals 9

Damn, those 3 pointers killed us! 23% is absurd! 4 from 17!! GS had 60%, 3-5!! If we opted for the easy two instead, we definitely would've won the game. GS had just as many turnovers as us, got out rebounded and they still won!!!

I hate to say it, but Steve isn't setting up the offense like he should be. Rudy needs to tell the team to stop taking those low percentage 3's. The other teams are getting easy fast break points from those 3's and coveting from those defensive rebounds.

Sorry Steve but Rudy needs run a structured offense that revolves around Ming. Drop it inside and let ming hit the open cutters and open man.

Its been said before but I doubt the rockets are actually listening to what people are saying about running the offense through Ming. I guess their And1 highlights are more important
    :(

    "sigh...."

    Poor Rockets and their fans.

I always say that Rockets can't make it to playoffs this year. But tonight is just one of those horrible nights, especially in the first quarter. Lots of wasteful scoring opportunities.

This is nobody's fault, not the guards, not the coach, not Yao who missed a lot of shots. And I would rather we lose this way, than compared to Knick's game for example.

Rockets seem to lose their edginess after more than 2 days break. Hopefully we'll do better against Timberwolves.

Rockets coach Rudy Tomjanovich said, "I liked the shots that we got. We got some shots in the paint. We had dunks."

The Warriors also liked the shots they made, they also got shots in the paint, they also had dunks.

Rudy, please go back to work on the missed shots.

To be fair, it truly did seem like a whole lot of the Rockets' shots rolled in and out. Even Bill Worrel picked up on it and said he'd never seen so many roll-outs.

Even Mobley had most points tonight, I have really reservations regarding his 3-pt shootings ?

Are those shots really necessary ? For Christ's sake, not to mention !!Rice & Griffin's CR@PPY %.

If Rockets are so fond of 3-pts, then get Wang Zhizhi

"I can't explain what's wrong with this team," said Mobley. "The coach calls plays and the guys go out and do something different. They're good plays, but the guys just don't run them like they're supposed to. It's so frustrating, because we have the talent to go out and be a winning team, but it just isn't happening. I don't have any explanation, we just aren't winning. Sometimes we go out and everyone feels that sense of urgency and we take care of the ball and we win games. We don't maintain it, though. We just don't stay focused and I can't understand why not."

I wonder whom does mobley blaming....SF?

CM may be refering to Yao. Yao in today's game played very soft offense until 4th Quarter where he got aggresive. You guys also heard in the past they told Yao to be aggressive and dunk the ball. But it looks like they stop telling him that after Yao scored well in the past games. They need to constantly tell Yao every day and especially before the game... be aggressive... I guess this attitude is not in Yao's culture, so this is one thing that needs to be completely changed.

    Focus=aggressive.

Reportedly, yao is very mad that we lost to lottery teams. I hope this sparks him up so we can go on a streak.

    YAO PLEASE DUNK DON'T FADEAWAY.

Trade EG. He shoots 3's then why doesn't he make any?
Trade EG trade Mo taylor Trade Glen Rice please Rudy T and get one of these productive clippers. (maggete odom). Wilcox is better than EG just that there is no PT for him there. And wilcox and francis are TERPS.

The problem is when they make mistakes they don't learn from it, and that is what is pissing a lot of fans off.
