Yao needs to start using a HOOK SHOT . He's trying to do all this fadeway garbage, and not only is it a tough shot to begin with, but he's gettin blocked! I hope Calvin does end up working with him on how to shoot it higher because Yao will never reach his potential until he learns to use his height to the max.

Before the game, I just had this pessimistic outlook that either we would lose, or we would win by a very small margin. I just don't have much confidence in the Rockets.

If Mobley doesn't play as a ROLE player, Rockets will always be under 500 team, period. He may get fire in some games, and overall team will get horrible record.........

I agree, No power forward, and the whole backcourt is trying to be a shooting guard, does anybody want to take the point? I question Rudy's substitution pattern. I don't know why Glen Rice or Mo Taylor should ever see the court. Well maybe Rice should see it when he feels like making a shot. Both of these guys, coupled with the guards, are always looking for their own shot first. Steve isn't as bad, but still, Posey and Yao continue to be the only team oriented players. Well Mooch too, but he needs to stop dribbling so much. Why don't they just get a tape of Calvin calling their game and making fun of all of them? That would hopefully make them pass!

I was reading the stats from the game and sure enough we had A LOT of 3-point attempts, 17 to be exact. GS only tried 5 (made 3) and we jacked up 17 to make one more trey than GS. Rudy needs to tell our boys to stop shooting up 3s. This trend has to stop.

Their learning process is into the fourth year. After about 300 NBA games it is reasonable to expect more maturity. They make the identical same mistakes game after game, year after year. None, and I mean none of my employers would have accepted such a pattern of performance.

I do not think it is totally Mobley's fault. Mobley will follow what Rudy tells him to do. Yao does not play much inside recently, that is also Rudy's game plan. Furthermore, the team cooperation is not too good. Only Yao, Steve and Posey are more like a team player, the others are not.

That's some slow learning curve. Most of us will be out of a job if we don't get our act together after a couple of month on the job. Why are we giving these basketball players preferential treatment?

...ok, so I was wrong. I don't understand this team. It's ridiculously inconsistent. And Steve is in his 4th year. Cat is in his 5th. Youth shouldn't be such a factor. The team is obviously skilled, but plays like a college team. I have no idea if it's coaching, or merely a collection of inconsistent players.

It is a tough time to be a Rocket fan. So much potential, so little performance.

What I still can't figure out is....why are we, with all the new players and experience, no better than we were 2 years ago???

    Can anyone explain?

Do not call this team young. Steve, Mobley, Cato, Rice, and Yao they all have several years of professional experience. How many years can each player play profesionally? Two or three years experience is already enough to turn them into a veteran. They have all the bball skills, just cooperation is not there.

There are so just too many reasons to list. I would say that one of the main reasons is because our Gomer Pyle coach is a moron.

An inexcusable loss tonight. Simply horrific! If you can't stop Troy frikken Murphy then there's a problem. We could have used KT tonight, he always used to abuse their forwards.

One word sums up Rockets..........inconsistent. You watch the Mavs, Kings,Jazz, Suns, they play the same way every game. Win or lose they play their game. As fans, we just don't know what to expect. I just don't feel confident about any player on this team right now. Francis needs to be the guy down the stretch making good decisions even if he's had a bad game to that point. I'm not blaming it on Steve, but someone's gotta be the reliable playmaker. Who is it gonna be???

Trade for Troy. Trade our bums for good young solid, slow and stolid, stock.

Murphy is a perfect fit for the Hakeem Rox of Blessed Memory, and an OK guy for GS or Houston -- or the Lakes.

It's all about team chemistry. Steve,Yao and Posey are the only ones who really try to get their teammates involved. Cuttino is trying to prove that he's an all-star level player, but he's not. No matter how hard he tries he's not gonna be the star player on this team. As far as Steve goes, he's trying a little too hard to get everyone else involved sometimes. He'll have a clear look and then throw a crazy pass to Glen Rice or something and Rice misses the shot. We have 3 people right now who seriously want to win. The rest of the guys are all in it for themselves.
