Well, SF made a couple of shots at the buzzer to save the game. I can't blame Rudy for calling that play. However, given that Yao just made the last two baskets at the end, why didn't Rudy call Yao's number just for a change?

A bad loss. Terrible, terrible.

Yes, Rudy blows, but S.F. should have never let Bobby Sura steal the ball when the game was still tied with about 1:45 left in the game. That was the killer!

Also, E.G. and MoT letting Troy Murphy go off for 20+ points was the main reason the Rox lost!!

We kept Jamison and Richardson well under their averages, but you can't let Boykins and Murphy beat us. But, sadly, Rudy did!!

    :( :(

the Rockets seem to have given Yao the ball several times in the 1st quarter, but Yao Yao just didn't follow through, too many missed chances for Yao tonight... Yao knows that his double-double tonight really don't mean anything :(

This game tonight is the reason why I would not be surprised if the Rox didn't make the playoffs. If they fail for a 4th year in a row, then bye, bye Rudy.

Why does Mo Taylor even step on the court, much less finish the game? And why does he think that the offense must revolve around him? Why does Yao sit for 10 minutes at a time? Why does this team have no roles players? Why Why Why?

Man, the Warriors play an ugly style of ball. The Rockets have much more talent than them, and get beat on their home floor. Way to go Rox. When will the Rockets get it together? We need a plan on offense, and better defensive intensity. As much as I like Steve, he doesn't seem to step up when we need it.

I only heard the last 8 minutes of the game on radio. Gene Peterson, resident Rocket's super fan, is clearly frustrated with Francis, Mobley, and Norris. Comments: "another dippsie doodle shot," "dribble, dribble, dribble-will kill you everytime," "Francis attempts a fancy dunk, misses," "Mobley takes another terrible shot-misses everything," etc. etc. Folks, our guards are really really Not Very Bright. Horrible decision-making. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid and not getting any smarter. Posey and Ming are the only bright spots right now. We are currently playing without a power forward. A playoff bound team does not lose to cellar-dwellers on their on own floor.

I didn't watch the game but from the stat sheet, Mo did OK, 10 points on 3 for 6 shooting with 6 boards. Can someone who watched game give us an assessment of Mo's play tonight?

Come on, Cat was the only one on Rockets that was on on offense tonight. Yao did get 17 boards, but he missed many easy shots and was too tentative on offensive end.

Steve just had a terrible game, and EG and GR are sleep walking.

Steve and Cuttino have a LOT of maturing to do. Eventually, they will reach a point of maturity where they'll be able to control their playing style, but people have to remember how young they are. Great players aren't born over night, and sometimes it can take years before they reach their peak. Living in Cleveland, i know first hand that players need time and that getting rid of them because they're not mature enough isn't the answer. We've gotten rid of a lot of players who went on to be all-stars, and we lost out because we were too impatient. In a few years the Rockets will be a championship quality team, but people need to give them a chance to grow up. Don't bash Steve and Cat for their mistakes, it's all part of the learning process.
