Hands down, the best Yao vs Amare post I have seen. :D Couldn't agree with you more SAGE. Yao had an off night on offense, and he was wise not to take too many shots and help his teammates score. Defensively, he clogged the paint big time. Amare had 8-21 shooting, even most of his shots are dunks. Yao blocked/intimidated a lots of his dunk atempts. With Yao on the court, Suns just couldn't take it to the hole confortably.

Griffin was in foul trouble all game. He got pulled with 2 fouls rapidly in the first quarter. In the second half against Amare, he got two more quick ones.

He apparently cannot stay in the game against Amare.

It only looks like that because Yao helped out kinda late so Yao could be on his way up and griff and amare are on their way down.

Amare is a stud but he didn't do better than Yao all around yesterday. He didn't do much when facing yao 1 on 1 on both ends of the court. He was killing Griff yesterday in the 1st quarter. Hope yao learns how to finish strong consistently after last night.

Cat played awsome last night! He was being patient and let the scoring come within the flow. That's all I ask.

I think the play where everyone says amare rejected yao was on yao's dunk attempt. he was clearly hit on the arms, and thats the reason why the ball flew forward rather than it being "stuffed" in place. Yao also didnt get the call where he had a great little scoop shot, but was pushed in the back by voskul, resulting in the shot not even hitting the rim.

Funny, I thought thats how Kemp played when he was with the Sonics.

Karl Malone and Webber are good jumpshooters which Amare is not. Karl Malone and Webber are also good open court players which I haven't seen in Amare yet. I admit, I didn't see much of Malone during the early years when he couldn't shoot free throws, but Amare sure does remind me of Kemp. I just wish he would gain a hundred pounds like Kemp did so we wouldn't have to worry about him dominating EG.

I can't believe I used to like Marbury... He's making it hard for me to like the Suns at all anymore (they used to be my second favorite team).

Please don't compare this Amar kid to any one you mentioned above. Those guys can paly inside out. This Amar kid can't make a basket from 6 feet away.

Not to beat a dead horse, but WTF does it matter. Points are points, field goal percentage isnt voted on by the fans. The fact of the matter is, when Amare shoots the ball - he scores more often then the players I mentioned.

Everyone loves Yao, and I know it kills Houston fans to see a guy who only played 2-3 years of organized basketball get more props than Ming does...but face it, Amare is the real deal.

    Quit hating.

Nobody is hating on Yao, the guy is a once in a lifetime player, even PHX fans know this. Why is there all this animosity towards Amare? I suspect jelousy, but will reserve judgement until playoff time.
