Are you talking about tonight? Because he shot a better percentage than Yao. (again, not that there is much solace in that fact)

Or are you talking about this year in general, because he shoots at a better percentage than Rasheed Wallace, Kevin Garnett, Dirk Nowitzki and Karl Malone just to name a few.

YES! And also that we are getting into our offense much quicker than we used to, so we actually have TIME to reset if we need to. When you think about it, this team is light years ahead of where it was last season.

What did Steve do? ESPN says he and Randy Brown "jawed with eachother." So I guess they were yelling or arguing with eachother, which I don't see how that deserved a doublt tech. Anways, all the people here who keep saying Steve needs to grow up should try taking their own advice. You guys act like great players and veterans don't ever get ejected for similar or worse incidents. On top of that, you guys are acting like Steve has been getting ejected all the time. Please. . .

Anyone notice that Griffen only got 20 minutes of playtime?

TMo had the majority at the 4.

From the box, Griffen had good #s (10pts-9rebs) in his 20 minutes of play...

any guess to why TMo got the majority of the minutes?

Was TMo's defense better than Griffen's on Amare?

Griffin played really well in the second-half but got ROLLED in the first half. I'm not quite sure why he never came back, but my guess is because the team was playing well with TMo in there, and he was playing some pretty nice defense on Stoudemire. It seems to me that Rudy is one who searches for groups playing well together, and if they are doing so, he'll leave them in, even if there's a better player on the bench. That would be my guess as to why he was in there . . .

After your post Yetti, i have to respond. Look maybe you are prep boy who cares about which hand the fork should go in. I dont knoe man. But listen to me now and hear me later, Steve did the right thing. You cant have it both ways. You cant ask Steve to be passionate and give a damn about the game and then ask him to back down to the prissy of the NBA like Randy Brown. I was like francis and let my emotions take over and I got kicked out of the chat room for calling Randy Brown a no good F-ing punk, and it was worth it, and in the long run what Francis did was worth it. So go put your napkin in your shirt Yetti cause your full of baloney.

    Texas,

You don't know Yetti? His true identity has been revealed. He blames the coach, Francis, Mobley, and the whole Rox team for Yao's poor performance today. Look what he writes here:

I just wanted to point out something I have been hearing repeatedly from the visitors announcers (On the ticket). Basically, the opposing team cannot penetrate into the lane becasue Yao takes up so much room! Later on local television I heard Cat say he has been working on his defense and that caused him to be inconsistent (shooting) in the early part of the year.

Question: Has Cat improved his defense or has Yao taken away a substantial option for the opposition?

Yes, I am talking about tonight. Yao had an off night, but he didn't take that many shots. So it is less damage to his team.

you're the one who's far gone and biased for not seeing Amare is ROY thus far. I never said Yao could not eventually win it ......And it's Mr. Marbury to you!

What's wrong about this Western Conference?

Everybody in the top 8 seeds + Lakers keeps winning while playing against the East or subpar teams.

Rockets has no slack room whatsoever to be a playoff contender. Tough conference!

Yao may be a non factor on offense but his four blocks count. His offense was bad but his Defense was good. I believed Yao wasnt pay much attention in this game because of upcoming game against shaq.

    Again, congrats on the win.

However, that excuse doesnt do much for me. How does Ming who shot at a 30% clip, and took more shots as all but one of his teammates (Cut Mobley) not damage his team?

Meanwhile, Amare shoots a less than avarage 38%, yet gets to the line twice as many times as his rookie counterpart and scores more than twice as many points?

Amare outplayed Ming, hands down. The argument is moot though because the Rockets won fair and square...and thats what its all about anyways. I would hope you would take the win and be proud of your team rather than hating on a guy who was 5 months into his senior year in HS this time last year.

That's a very misleading way to put it. Francis took 13 shots as well, and Griffin took 12. It's not as if Ming was far and away the 2nd option on offense or anything. The shots were pretty evenly distributed.

Just so you know, I definitely think Amare outplayed Ming tonight...but I would still rather have Ming in the long run.

C'mon folks, tonite's performance is what we need to win: a well-balanced attack instead of showing off individuality by scoring 50 pts while others just watch...

Look at the Rockets: all of our starters scored double figures with the addition of 11 pts courtesy of Moochie...

Look at the Suns: Only Stoudemire, Marbury, and Marion are getting double figures in pts while Johnson and Williams only got 4 and 2 pts respectively...

This is what is the best situation for the Rockets: when one player doesn't play well or is getting lots of attention from the other team (like Yao's performance tonite), others just pick up the slack left off... now that's what I call team ball...

This sun's team is going nowhere if they keep playing only 3 person's basketball. Amre was good, but defensively Ming was better. Amare said "he palyed Shaq and Ming", no no no, it wasnt Ming guarding him, it was EG, who should have had some milk before tonight's game. Ming offensively tonight was hoorible, again miss too many "chippies", maybe partly because he spent too much energy defensive end. Mobely and Francis bailed Rox out, all the credit to them. Ming do need to be more assertive and aggressive.

Fair enough. Even in hindsite, I cant imagine that anyone (except for us in Phoenix ;) ) would pass up on Yao Ming if they had the #1.
