it wasn't an assist. yao dumped the ball to steve and he missed the slam. yao got the rebound and slam all in the same motion.

In fact, there were at least three such assest-like motions from Yao.

    Philly announcers (to paraphrase):

'The Rockets staff was making comparisons between Yao Ming and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Kareem was much more polished at that point in his career'

    Really?

They were behind Yao or going after Steve, leaving Yao with a clear path to the basket.

Great to see us win tonight. Yao is starting to show some consistency which is making a difference for us. Cat did very well in his comeback.
Lets hope we have learned something from our loss against the Kings and that we will work hard in practice and come out stronger on the 10th.

    Don't know why Mo-T didn't play.It said DNP-Coach's decision.
If he is not hurt I'm assuming Rudy is going to make him work on his game in practice before putting him back so he can regain his confidence.

One balloon head called 610 and talked about trading Yao for E. Curry. He got blasted by the host. The host said Curry sux and a big fat flop. What a dumb a$$!

Haha, I have heard Bull fans willing to trade Curry, Chandler, and another player for Yao, and still thinking that might not be enough for them to get Yao :D

Maybe this guy whol called up is a Bulls fan? :p

    -G'day-

Speaking of Bulls, I still can't believe there are naysayers who say Jay Williams was still the better deal than Yao.

    Give me a Break!!!

Dumb critics who say Yao was such a big "PROJECT"
Project is how u describe a most of the high schoolers coming into the NBA.

Yao is tops b/c, u know what? He's SMART and MATURE for a rookie. If he doesn't get votes for Rookie of the Year, then I know something's rotten with the NBA.

Those Chicagoans can go back to the lottery well for help. Yao's staying here!!!!

Totally DJ!!!! You know who else should be eatin' his hat (or kissing a mule) right now? The BarkMan. He used to be so critical of Cat and Franchise. What a defensive effort those two did on The Answer.

Too bad they don't have an extra "stat" on the stat sheet for "altered" shots. Yao is DA MAN in that department. If Yao keeps putting up double doubles and Cat puts up double digit points... man, ya gotta feel good about being a Rocket fan!

    :D :D :D
