Could Rudy T. have asked to check the instant replay on that block by YAO on JORDAN?

Why didn't the referees check it?

I guess it is a small consolation that the team fought its way back like it did. Props to MoT for coming through and giving us a shot. I think he has shown that he should be starting instead of Griffin who just is not consistent enough. Is it my imagination or does Griffin manage to shoot at least one air ball down the stretch of almost every game? What's up with that?

    I sense a difference here

Francis goes out and chokes when his team needs to win badly , Marbury goes out an puts up 41,7,6 on Gary Payton.
And is also ranked #2 clutch player in the league.

Now if Marbury is a loser, what is Francis? Their age difference is just one day...

Hey D-Rose the only reason I say this is because I was smashed when I first got on this site a couple of months ago, nothing against you personally its just that we have a chat room and thats where they want the ones who want to speak many times. I had to learn like a man and get bashed, but I learned:)

    Well you are very optimistic.

IT WAS WEIRD. Cuz Francis made his first shot but missed everything else. And AFTER a call was made, he would drain 3's. Doesn't make sense.

But you're right. It's not just Francis's fault. Because Yao shouldh ave caught it and called timeout. Instead,......he passed it out. Rudy didn't do anything either.

    Spectacular comeback.

    BUT WE STILL LOST.

    Cuz bad calls.

    VERY BAD CALLS>

Michael Jordan knows that he is God so he just pushes Hawkins every time. TERRIBLE.

RUDY SHOULD COMPLAIN TO THE NBA HEAD CRAP AND TELL THEM TO REVIEW THE GAME. There are so many bad calls.

    Especially the goaltending.

NOW WE HAVE TO WIN OUR NEXT 5 GAMES. That's pretty impossible against the SPURS and PISTONS and...............a bunch of other good teams that we have trouble against.

That's the problem, it wasn't 1 on 1. If you watch the replay, you'll see Steve had to give it up because like 3 guys got in his face.

Regardless, you can't get any safer than a drawn up play. Those streaking shots are real gutsy and I don't think we should be taking those.

They should have talked about that during the timeout before the last play.

Well too late anyway. I'm not surprised. I conditioned myself that they are not making the playoffs this year. I do not want to get excited in games anymore since I knew this thing always happens. They disappoint me time and time again.

    See you all next year.

I'm not sure but can the coach call a timeout?? I think he can. also, anyone of the five players on the court can call a timeout.

Yao puts up a shot in the closing moments to finally give the Rox a lead. Wiz back up by 4. MoT scores a layup at 1:30 to close it within 2 again. 1:13, Mike drives and tries to lay it in but was blocked by Yao. Apparently the refs coudn't see it well enough to determine it a block, so they favor a goaltending call. :58, MoT (red hot tonight!!!!!) lays it in to close it within 2 again. :34, Stackhouse gets a jumper in. Rox down by 4. Following a timeout, MoT nails another at :29 to close it down by 2 again. Mike shoots with :05 left and misses. Yao on the offensive rebound passes to Cat with :03 left........

No looking back. Prepare for the Spurs!

The real culprit was terrible shooting for 3.5 quarters of play.

Sure, Jordan gets all the calls, but come on. The Rockets lost because they had fewer points on the board when the clock ran out for a second time. They looked like they had no plan whatsoever thoughout each clutch situation. Mobley's 3 was pretty lucky, but luck couldn't last. Stevie made only one basket, and love him or hate him, the Rockets needed better from him tonight. I don't know what to do to help the Rockets improve, but it seemed that their spirit was not in this game tonight.

I agree that the playoffs aren't going to come around for us this year. Disappointing, but there are positives that the Rockets still have plenty of games to perfect and a lot of season left to learn to minimize their faults.

Let's hope San Antonio can be a learning experience, too. In a couple of years, maybe these types of losses will not have been in vain.

Well, if he can not, can he coach?

If a timeout SHOULD be called, the coach should call it.

Ok, it's official, you guys have no one to blame for almost any nationally televised Rockets loss but me.

    Son of a b****!!!

EVERY DAMN ROCKETS GAME I'VE SEEN ON NATIONAL TV SINCE 1995 HAS BEEN A LOSS!!! It's so frustrating! And I'm NOT joking. They have not won a single game I've entirely watched, EVER in my life. It's more than a coincidence at this point.  :(

I watched the first 2.5 quarters of this game or so and then turned it off in frustration, realizing that the curse was hopeless. OK, so then a while later I go to check on the score thinking the game was over and see it went to overtime. Being so completely overwhelmed with joy and new hope, I become stupid again and forget the curse, turning on the game a couple minutes into OT, just in time to send the Rockets home with a loss... I will never freakin learn...

I know you think I'm crazy... but it's been going on way too long to merely be a coincidence by now, right?

DAMN!!! I can't even watch my favorite team!!! I hate my life... :(

slinslin, you're a jackass! Where were you when MEberry went 2-12 in their loss to the bulls? Nice of you to come around when you get one win in you're last 6 or 7 games.

Because I know his BBal IQ. He's been under this kind of situation too many times. It seems to me that he wanted to give Steve a chance to make desicion, fast break or time out.
