looking at the scores by quarter, we pretty much kept up with them other than the 1st quarter.

ragingFire, I sure noticed it. that was a very smart and simple way to conserve energy for Yao. there is no reason to have your 7'6 center brining the ball in, at any time, that happen way too much last year. JVG just erased a lot of unecessary sprinting for Yao.

Are you are certified DIETICIAN or do you have any qualification or training to make that statement? I sincerely hope your answer is yes (Falcone better watch his back).

I mean seriously, since when do so many people take the preseason seriously?

Did you know last year we had a better preseason record than over half the teams who made the playoffs? That proved to be worth a lot. Did you know that right now the Suns are the same 0-3 that we are? I guess they're gonna go straight down the gutter this season, too, huh?

Good lord, calm yourselves. The first two games, our "Big 3" got a grand total of 30 minutes playing time. This was the only game where you could argue we really even COULD have won.

In fact I do. I got my certificate from P.C.D.I. in nutrition(nothing to brag about). But anemia is a common known ailment and everyone knows about it. The reason I brought it up is because we cant use the excuse "Ming is out of shape" because he has been training all summer and playing real games in China. I dont think Jerome James is that much better than Asian Championships to warrant Ming being dead tried mid-way through first quarter. I would be very worried if I was the Rockets. Sometimes people that are very tall 7ft+ will have signifcant heart problems that go unnoticed later in life and in fact sometimes die at an young age (40's) without warning. Either Ming has anemia, has a crappy diet,or has a genetic heart ailment which will make him "winded" because his limbs are longer than his heart can handle without stress. Remember Akeem had irregular heartbeats and even blood clots. Im sure Ming will have some sort of heart problems later.

:D Larry Smith da Mr Mean is just as a "good" coach as Tim Floyd. Remember the last 17 games of the season where he served as the interim coach? The Rockets turned into another Floyd-era Chicago Bulls !

Just curious. Is it normal for anybody playing virtually continous professional basketball for four years? In particular, Yao played pretty much everyday in the Asian tournaments and the whole game two days before travelling 24 hours to Houston. Added to his burden is his national responsibility in publicity, etc. I would have thought it is not issue of whether he is in shape or with a heart problem; it is an issue Houston has to deal with. In fact, China and Yao has denied a heart problem rumoured about a month ago. The medical check had indeed been taken in China but no confirmation about heart problem. Also, Houston knew the new report and had made enquiries about the medical situation. So, I am sure it is under control.

    ;) ;) ;)

21 assists, that's pretty good for a team that hasn't learned their new offense yet. Even Moochie had no TO's and 6 assists.

I hope this is a sign as to what our team oriented offense may become later on in the season.
