I'm not saying that our guards or Rudy weren't at fault at all....but Yao was more responsible for his lack of involvement than anybody else. HE was getting bullied on the low block (both offensively and defensively). HE was dropping some easy passes from teammates. HE was lacking aggressiveness in all aspects of the game. I really think this may have been one of his most disappointing games. True he had a double-double, but with the amount of balls he got his hands on he should have easily gotten 17 boards. I think more than anything, conditioning and aggressiveness are the things that Yao needs to work on the most.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a HUGE Yao fan, but blaming his number of touches or shots on somebody besides him THIS GAME just isn't fair.

The spacing was awful tonight when Yao got the ball, in the 4th quarter Yao got the ball on the left block and there was a Rocket just kept standing there a few feet away. The result was his defender quickly came over to double Yao, distracted him and Yao's defender stripped the ball from behind. Damn these juvunile mistakes!

    Hehe, interesting.

Seems everyone has to declear him a Yao fan when he try to say something Yao didn't do so well.

Maybe 40 minutes are too much for Yao. He can't concentrate during the whole game. That means he's tired.

The last thing you want to do in a Rox forum these days is to criticize Yao. ;)

I think the Minnesota's coach did a superb job after the half-time in making the necessary adjustment. Rudy did not make enough adjustment. It is simply as this. Remember, at half-time, the score was tied.

In fact, we can't blame Ming in this game at all. If the other team double-teamed your centre, the other guys who are wide open should make their shots. In the first half, KG left EG wide open all the time but EG score only 3/14. In the first half, Steve was quite hot and so we were close. Yet in the second half, Steve cooled down and we ran out of options with our outside shots.

ISO and dribbling do not get the ball inside. What we should have done was to pass the ball around with patience outside until there was a good angle to loop the ball inside. Without ball movement outside, there was no way for Ming to move out of the double team.

Similiar situation on our defence. Ming was basically beaten by two more players coming at him a lot of time. It is obvious we did not have a good game plan in this.

The Rox will finish 9th in the West. There's not a thing that they can do about it.

It was a decent game. I know Mobley went back to his old ways and they could have taken advantage of double, sometimes triple coverage on Yao. There were some bad passes from Yao and to Yao. There were few plays when Rockets fought each other just to let the ball go out giving the Wolves more chances. But what can you do? They did a good job of covering Yao, and Nesterovic made his shots. It was one of those nights. Kevin garnett is not gonna get called for fouls at home, and he dominated. You could see this game slipping away in the third quarter down by only five. Hopefully, the Rockets will break out of their 'we lose to crappy teams' today at Cleveland.

    BigBoy,

    Nah,

This team is a little better then a .500 team this year. They stilll don't get it on the road.

Until they learn to FOCUS on the road as well as at home, it will be frustrating to watch.

    Next year boys...next year.

What is it now, 0-10 on the road vs .500 teams?
I think only the Bulls are worse in this stat.
