I'd like to see Posey get more involved instead of just garbage time. I guess he is still learning the rockets offense, so hopefully he'll get some quality minutes tonight. We need the win to tie SA for the 3rd seed.

I am really interested to see if the Rockets can play together as a team two nights in a row. Last night, they had 24 ast to only 7 TO which is phenomenal. As a team, if the Rockets have 22 or more ast tonight and 14 or less TO, I think they will win the game.

It should be another blowout win for the rockets..
The wolves have no inside precense... I don't understand why Garnett don't just concentrate on his post moves.. he should be posting up EVERY time. he is so altheletic and long, he should be unstoppable there.. I don't want to see him shooting outside jumper even if he can make them. they have enough shooters

the wolves also have weak backcourt.. No one in their backcourt is in the league of francis or mobley.
    The wolves have no chance.

There is no way we will lose this game guys, they can't beat us with just one guy. Don't base your predictions on last years performances when they had their guys and we had injuries-the tables have turned and now they're the ones struggling to win. Only way we lose is by not playin our game-going into Yao and movin it around. Even when we played the Pacers we had 20 something turnovers, but they couldn't keep up as long as we went into the post.

The Rockets have not had a good shooting night in the past two games. They got the wins based on rebounding (....really, the Rockets?). Also, remember it's going to be plus or minus zero degrees up there tonight so the shooters may be even colder. I just hope at least two of our players get hot hands. Every point will be needed.

The Rockets are good, folks, but it is much harder to build the type of spontaneous momentum the Rockets fuel themselves on when they're playing on the road. The T-Wolves are a tough team at home, and they will give the Rockets some problems. The Rockets are better than Minnesota, but playing on the road, I give each team about a 50/50 chance to win this one. I do believe that Hawkins needs to see more time this game, as well as Eddie Griffin, now that he's back with us.

I agree that we can't let one guy in Garnett beat us, but for some reason the other T-Wolves always come up with plays to help that team win games.

I would not be surprised to see Troy Hudson, Strickland, or someone else have a huge game.

I, too, would love to see more than 3 minutes of James Posey. To have TMo play more than Posey is incredibly stupid.

I am going to go ahead and be pessimistic and pick a loss for us simply because we are still a young team that is capable of inconsistent performances.

Hopefully, I will be wrong. ;)

The real key for the Rockets tonight is establishing themselves inside with Yao and MoTay. If they can get the pups into foul trouble they can easily win this game. Even though they do have a lot of big guys down there, if we can knock a couple of them out early with fouls Yao can be a presence and MoTay can wear them out. Steve has got to step it up tonight. He needs to penetrate and try to draw the big men on him in the key so that he can either get fouled or dish it off to the big man. I think they should play Posey more than Rice so that he can stop KG. Rice is just too old and fat to guard an explosive guy like Garnett. Maybe put Motay or Cato on Garnett. Anyways if Yao and Steve can step it up Rockets win 98-92 but if the pups keep their big men out of foul trouble Tpuppies win 102-89.
    Im swaying towards the former:D :D :D :D

    Go ROCKETS!!!

Garnett will get his and that's fine. As long as we play the zone to its perfection like last night, containing the other four on the floor shouldn't be a problem. Griffin and Taylor should match up with KG, and Rice will take Trent, JAckson, or whoever else out deep on the wing, so hopefully Yao will abuse NEsterovic. I would would love to see Rice and Mobley shoot like they did last night, benefitting from all that beautiful ball movement. Rudy also was smart in keeping Glen to 23 minutes, so he shouldn't be feeling the effects on the back-to-back too much. If we can find the fire in any quarter like we did in the third last nite--look out minnesota.

Manny, I know something even more stupid!!

If Rudy gives almost half the SF minutes to Moochie again! TMorris was primarily playing backup PF last night. Moochie received most of the backup SF minutes (where Posey played).

How come Philly had no problem getting Kenny Thomas in the game (last night), but Rudy could not get Posey Involved. Is his play book that more complicated then Philly's?

We will lose if Mo and/or Eddie do not step up and play at least solid defense against KG.

    I predict a 97-88 for the Timberwolves.

Of course, I hope we will destroy them :).

Posey is rested and ready. PLAY HIM! He is also tanned but that seemed inappropriate to say. Their guards should not be able to match up with ours. Mobley and Rice MAY be on a hot-shooting streak. Ming will play large! :D We could really use Griffin. Is he going to play? Please Rockets, I know you are tired but PLAY LIKE A CONTENDER!

As odd as it might be to say this, there's someone that does every game: I think this is the biggest game for the Rockets this season. I have reasons for that, but I'm too tired to explain myself right now... but I would be kinda surprised if they won...:(

Dunno why, just don't feel great about this one.

Based on our road performance so far this year and the lack of team chemistry I'd say 97-91 Timberwolves.

    Barbour,

That is the $64 dollar question. I don't see how our offense is complicated. I mean it is pretty much all "iso" based anyway although I guess there are some plays for Yao.

But I just had a thought - maybe that is why Francis and Mobley struggle so much with the offense because it really is complicated! :p

Seriously, I'm guessing that Rudy has some team rule that says you can't play much in your first game. Hopefully, that rule is just for ONE game & that we see a lot of Posey tonight.

I hope Rudy give Posey asome more playing time tonight. I remember the Kings brought in Jim Jackson the first night after he signed and Jackson make contribution right off the bat. Posey is a 4 year veteran so he should be able to bring something to the team right away. The best chance of getting Posey some playing time is early in the game. If he did well and not lost out there then Rudy can continue playing him.

yeah I think Rudy should try Cato on KG tonight just to see if that could work. CatO & MinG that should be good since Timberpups have all those long bodies in frontcourt.

we need Cato, Griffin, Taylor, Ming to play huge.

we need Posey, Hawkins, Morris to play tough defence and knock down the open shot becuz we are playing against a zone.

and Rice, Mobley need to hit there shots becuz they will have opportunitys to do it. If they are hitting there outside shots then Puppies will get out the Zone and play man to man and thats when Yao and Steve will take over the game.

so it's all about hitting the open shots. I predict a win, but it's not going to be easy at all, I'm feeling this game will have a playoff feel to it... Go rockets
