This loss sucks. I wish Rudy would of called someone else's number on that play. You know the play was for Francis, but he was stuck in **** and had to pass off to Griffin for a desperation shot over Outlaw. What a terrible play....

For crying out loud, why would they give Eddie Griffin the ball for the game making, make or break shot? Glen Rice, one of the best clutch shooters in the history of the game was wide open calling for the ball and nobody threw it to him? What is with our team? It seems that we are seriously lacking in the smarts department.

Are we watching the same game? When Ming was in the game,
even that "Kemp Junior" has fear to go inside.

Well, the Suns had 12-13 seconds left, and they made the shot with time
    on the clock.

In those situations, you have to give tit-for-tat...get them back!

The Suns gave us a chance. We missed the shot.

I'd have Eddie shooting 1000 shot-drills in the morning!

That's punishment for missing the shot.

When given the opportunity, you grab it!

Well, that was a GREAT end to a GREAT day.

What it all comes down to was the players on the floor in the final minutes choked...plain and simple...our best FT shooter missed both shots...4 offensive boards on one possession and nothing to show for it...allowing Marbury to drive inside...a total meltdown at the end of the game...I sure hope they're disgusted as much as I know everyone here is, so maybe they wont choke like that again.

I think the play was called for the right person. The last game we played it was none other than Steve Francis who took over in the forth quarter and won the game. Tonight he got trapped and wisely kicked the ball out. Eddie just missed the shot. Good free throws, and more shots by Cat in the second half might have made the difference.

Kenny Thomas couldn't guard Marion, nor could anyone else.

But that end...Mobley's missed free trows, Francis's missed lay-ups, missed jumpers, how many chances did they have to protect the lead???

Anyway, credit the Suns...I never understood why they got such a bad rap before the seaon began. With two all-star point guards capable up scoring (Marbury and Penny), Marion who is putting up near star numbers, and solid role players, it's no surprise the Suns are having a good start.

Rockets played well. It's obvious Francis is bothered by his back, and unfortunate that other then MoT no one really stepped up. Lucky the Suns couldn't hit a 3-pointer.

I agree - Ming played with more confidence offensively and defensively.

Well, imagine if this was a playoff game. Heart break. Yes.

But let it hurt! Because that's the only way you can learn to win
(not choke), beacuse you are STICK and TIRED OF LOSING!

"Please. Matrix is a softie. He's all flash. Doesn't put the hurt on anyone, can't take a hit. Let's see him get up from that Rasheed foul. Great fantasy player.

Your boy KT could crush him, if RT would set the bounty. Just jump on his ankle, or hit him in the air. Fly now, sky boy.

Starbury is also paper-thin. Nickel is brittle. Googs is waiting to break. This team needs a beating. Esp. that ass Starbury."

Classy bunch y'all got here. Makes kicking your ass all the more sweet.

I am not sure what to make of that quote, but it was another very exciting game for these 2 teams. This may be the only national broadcast that the Suns have, this season, so it was nice to see a good showing out of them. The Rockets played us well, as always, unfortunately for Houston fans, they came up little short. The season is still very young, and if the Rockets can continue to grow, they will be a force to be reckoned with in the very near future.

BTW, about Yao... For those of you who are discouraged? He will be a force for years to come. I have watched every Suns game for the better part of my adult life, and have never seen someone create as much chaos as Yao did. He is too tall, and too mobile not to be. If he has any heart whatsoever, he will be a solid addition to your team.

Besides all the silly mistakes,I can't see how a player that has hardly been active and included in the action should be called to make the desperation shot.I have been saying it from the start of the season that Teams will learn to shut Steve and Mobley down and the Rockets will be dead in the water! It just happened!Rudy T must make Francis play Team Basketball for FOUR QUARTERS, he also should play Nachbar and Morris when he gets back! Rudy should use the same principal on all players, like he was suposed to be using on Yao Ming. If you are off and keep missing then you are out and try ANOTHER PLAYER. If I shot 5/6 then I would expect a little more playing time!!!!!

Hey, you're welcome to come to our board and join in. I don't think anybody there has ever opined breaking an opposing player's ankle as a possible strategy; I just had to respond to that particular bit of idiocy.
