parker is suppose to OFFICIALLY play tonight.

unless something changes at gametime he said he would start and play in this game.

he will be handicapped though with a sprained thumb, which will affect his signature 'tear drop' shot(anyone who uses this shot knows how much the thumb is used)

will be a very close game, but i'm not gonna bet against the spurs the way they are playing

    spurs by 5.

Losing tonite will not effect the overall goal. Remember, our schedule is quite easier than Phoenix, and we have that crucial tiebreaker.
Of course, winning tonite would be a boost :)

Yao will be aggressive early, but will his legs hold up. If he runs out of gas, expect Cato to get as much minutes as Yao. Without Griffin, I wonder if Larry would play Cato and Yao at the same time. I think Yao and Cato could match up well with Duncan and Robinson. Well, at least it's a matchup I would love to see.

The only way we have a chance is for our perimter defense to contain Parker and Ginubilli and a lot of ball movement on offense.

I think the Spurs will take this one. But if the Rockets win, it will be a big bonus and really increase our chances of making the playoffs. A win against the Spurs is like a two game swing b/c realistically who really mark down a W on their schedule for this game.

I hope Smith put Yao on Duncan. Even though he plays PF, Duncan is clearly Spurs's low-post player. Putting Yao on Spurs' C will be a waste. Yao should be fine guarding Duncan since he can't just mow Yao down.

Rox dont match up well against the spurs, we'll have no answer to Duncan, Gnobili and Parker..... Robinson may be able to shutdown Yao,

look forward to the next game and just hope that Phoenix loses tomorrow....I'd be pleasantly suprised if Rox pulls through on this one.....

Who is our best defender on Duncan besides Yao? Is it Cato or EG?

I don't understand how these TNT guys can say the Rockets played bad defense. It's kind of hard for Yao to play defense when the Bruce Bowen is holding him and not letting him to get to David Robinson, who gets an easy dunk. Lord.

We will definitely lose because Eddie Griffin is out.

    Here's my predication:

    1. Yao will do average today, it's really hard for him to bounce back when Shaq goes full force at him yesterday. It seems that Shaq come out and give 100% against Yao yesterday, Shaq does not need to give 100% against other centers around the league.

    2. Franchise is the key to win tonight. He will carry us to victory.

    3. Cat is also depended on for us to win.

    4. Cato is really important since Yao will need his time on the bench after a physically draining game against Shaq.

    Rox win: 102-99

Why doesnt Yao go to his hook shot anymore? he only tried it one time against the lakers, and now he's still taking the same fadeaways. And how could he miss that tip-in? how could cat miss that layup?
