If we do have to go small, I would rather see T Mo at PF.

    SF/Tito
    Cat
    Posey
    MoT
    TMo

But I would much rather see us go big for as much of the game as possible.

    SF
    Posey
    Mo T
    Yao
    Cato

Split Rice's minutes with Nachbar. Now is the time to do it, Spurs should not be expecting it. Nachbar could not play worse D than Rice and we need more athleticism from the wing.

Posey is now a set up 3 point shooter, and Rice epitomizes that these days. Rockets need to play the players who can move without the ball.

Wait, I'm getting conflicting reports. Does the game start @ 730 or 830?

Dunno, every website I look at has a different answer. I'm guessing yes. Kind of like when the refs get together and have a "conference" the call always goes against us.

    Thanks!

I went to the game when the Spurs came to town back in Feb. If we played tonight like we played then, we'll have no chance. We need to stop Parker & Ginobili, plus we can't let Malik Rose look like an all star. That's all it takes. Duncan will get his. Stop Parker & Ginobili! Let's see some D, Francis & Posey!

i usually get bad feelings a few hours before the game if i think they're going to lose (i've been pretty accurate), but for some reason i think the rox will win.

i really think yao is gonna be pissed from last night's performance. i see a 30 point, 15 rebound, and 5 block night for him. i expect the same from the duncan, but he won't have help from his teammates.

    again... the rox will win.

    Rox 89
    Spurs 87

Yao will have 16 and 8, Francis will have a near triple double, Posey will have another good game with 20 points. Duncan will have 25 and 15, but the absence of Parker will give the Rox the win.

This is my first prediction, so let's hope I'm right. ;)

A loss will have no effect on playoff aspirations. This is a game the Rockets are supposed to lose.

Here is my feeling tells me --- the Rockets get brutalized by the Spurs. Yao scores 3 points going 1 for 14. Duncan/Robinson kill the Rockets in the inside, and Spurs win by 24. I wish I am entirely wrong.

Freak, your right. Besides, doesn't Phoenix have to play Detroit and Indiana next. Rox should have their 8th spot back and probably a game up as well after those games

I have to agree. The Rockets are still a ways from being a contender. They've certainly have impressed me in these games vs. the Kings and the Lakers, but like those teams in this game tonight, I don't think the Rockets have enough strength or enough talent (YET) or mentally ready to challenge a team like the Spurs yet. Plus, we have a head coach who is still learning to be the top coach and understand the pressure of these type of games now that he's under the helm. We have been playin' well in 2 or 3 quarters of the game, but we have lapses we go on a drought and the other teams' center or point guard (even worse a no-name player) go wild on us. We haven't been able to stop that third scorer when their main players are having an off night and it makes it tough to win. Yao Ming should become a real force within a couple of years, he just needs to bulk up somewhat and certainly be more agressive. I know handling Shaq is real hard (though it does have something to do with the refs letting him just bulldoze into the circle), but he needs to not be afraid of taken it to the hole because he's letting people six to ten inches shorter just block his shot and getting outran down the court like it ain't nothin.

I would not be counting on Phoenix losing. They beat San Antonio in SA, and are as inconsistent as the Rocks.

The Rocks should have taken care of business at home....now both teams have equal home and away games left.

I don't like our chances in this one. The Spurs are playing like the best team in the NBA right now. Its awefully tough to beat them on their home court when they play like that. So i won't be too upset with a loss tonight as long as we play hard. I do look forward to seeing how Yao handles this game after being humiliated last night. This will be a big statement game for him. I would be really disappointed if he disappeared again.
