I hope Yao did not let you down homie. I hope more importantly that the team did not let you down either.

Even though your supposed great  team doesn't care about preseason, surely great players such as McGrady, Gooden  and Howard  could find a way to beat the Jazz. I mean, come on. The Jazz suck cow balls this year. Surely the great Orlando Magic would have enough firepower to beat the Jazz in their sleep. Your team lost by 9 to a team that features players like Ostertag, Stevenson, Arroyo and Ruffin. You'll do good in the East, but watch out for those West Coast swings later in the season.

Whosnumber1? You and your team aren't and still won't be when all is said and done. Orlando will contend in the East, but NJ is still better.

T-mac is a great player. Gooden is decent, with some upside. It will be interesting to see how he develops this season. Together they still don't come close to chemistry Yao and Francis WILL show this season.

BTW, your team lost to my team both times last year. Also, your great team only finished 2 games above .500 in the East! How pathetic.

Congrats on becoming the first person on my ignore list, assclown.

Nice summary, Gater. My first game on tv, and I had the exact same reaction. The difference is night and day. And goodness gracious, whatever got into Kelvin Cato?!!? The guy's all hustle, all the time. Last year we saw that energy in bursts, this year we're seeing it throughout the game. He really could become the 10-board power forward we've been looking for. Who knew?

Funny how the Magic can't beat what might be the least talented team in the league on their own home court despite their starters playing 30+ mins.

Let's take a trip down memory lane. It's 1995. On paper, the Orlando Magic have an impressive team. One thing they didn't have was the talent to overcome the heart of a champion. When people have heart, they play hard because they're on a basketball court, whether it's preseason, regular season, or post season. Evidently, Orlando still lacks heart.

    1995. 4 games.

Don't reply to them and they'll go away.

As for the game, it is easy to see the difference in this team compared to the last 4 years. They're helping each other out on defense, playing the passing lanes, sharing the ball, and getting into their sets alot quicker. I especially like how Francis and Yao are being put in positions to score. These are all things that in the past Rudy claimed there was not enough time in practice to acheive.
