Well Francis played great, yet the team didn't follow his lead. Some things never change.

OK, I take everything bad I said about Rudy this season. Tonight's game was one pathetic display of non-coaching.

The Rockets don't win unless they come into the game wanting to win. Glen Rice not playing was pissing me off! Isn't this the kind of game where Glen Rice should be playing! This game was lost because of coaching/substitutions. This is not a good time in the season for that to be the case. I am getting suspicious, darnit! poop!

Nice stat…the only time Cato touches the ball is when he rebounds or goes for a dunk. I’d to see how he handles double and triple teams or if he to run (or in Steve’s case try to run) the offense (I’m not bashing Cato, because I know boards and dunks are his main attributes). Hey guess what Boki had zero turnovers too.

I was dying to get a timeout from Larry Smith in the 4th to stop the Sonics run after we had cut the lead to 6 points. Then they scored to make the lead 10 or 12 points again. Shakes head.

Why did they take out Yao in the 4th? Because he got dunked on? Because he was playing support defense on Ollie? Argh.

Maybe, Larry must have told Yao to defend his man instead of helping out on Kevin Ollie, who is mysteriously get layups all night.

    RUDY IS ALWAYS NERVOUS.

    But yeah....we need him.

But the players sucked too......but yeah.....that's related to Rudy's absence.

    Anyways.....CATO WAS GREAT.

It seems like the guards have gone back to selfish mode.....they refuse to pass to Eddie...

    WE HAVE TO WIN!!!! :(

*haha* Uhhh...that's what I'm talking about. Yao getting more involved offensively = Yao getting more touches. @ least that's what it means in my world.

And BTW, Francis attempted 13 shots (and he did have eight assists) -- three under his reg. season average of 16. He made six of them and the other attempts weren't counted obviously b/c he was fouled. Was he the only one interested in getting to the line. I mean, thr Rox are a good free-throw shooting team, right? And I've been real coo' with Mobly during this streak (but not b/c I thought he was really doing anything special), but tonight. I just have to shake my head. He takes some of the dumbest shots and I absolutely HATE IT when he brings the ball up and attempts to play PG. It's like he doesn't even look to pass the rock.

And the turnovers are killer. And Ray Allen quietly made Mobe's his b**** tonight.

This is the price you have to pay to have video editors as your assistance coaches. The game plan and substitute pattern were horrendous. The guard's defense was terrible. Calvin Murphy keeps saying the guards need to do a better not letting their guys hurting the big guy. No one rotates to cover Yao's man everytime Yao is forced to cover the penetration. This has been the situation why Yao got dunked on most of the time. He had to cover both guys at the same time.

I agree that Eddie could get the ball more, but Eddie needs to become a more consistent shooter, man. Seriously. His shot is ALWAYS FLAT -- just like his freebies.

And Mobley was just horrible....*shakes head*....just horrible.

Franchise was once again one number shy of a Trip-Doub 23PT 10AS 9RB...... Rox should win when Franchise gets these numbers, but of his 6-13 FG attempts, 4 were 3PT attempts, and none went in. Cat was 1-6 from 3PT. Overall, Rox was 25% from 3PT range on 5-20, yet the Rox still has pretty good overall FG% at .479. I'm thinking that if the Rox drove in a few of those shot attempts for a higher scoring chance closer to the basket, and be more just a little bit more alert about turning over the ball (yes, Ming and Steve combined for 8), tonights game would've extended the Rox winning streak to 6 games. Yao had 8PT and 7RB by the end of the 3rd, it looked like another doub-doub night for the rookie, but I don't understand how he only played 2 minutes in the 4th. It would seem that somebody was making the wrong decisions, utilizing the Rox offensive weapon options. It was as if the Rox counted on Rice to save the game, which he may have had he also been considered for a little extra playing time.

My fault, Francis had 10 assist tonight. I also wanted to say Stevie needs to make it A POINT -- a damn MUST -- to get Yao involved more (more touches *haha*). Before Mobley; before anyone else.

Francis/Yao are the go-to guys on the team. Everyone needs to know and respect their roles. I see a lot fo guys out there trying to do too much and thinking they're better than they really are.

That's why I love a guy like Cato! He plays his ass off and knows what he's in there for -- defense, rebounds, intensity. Sometimes Posey, a lot of times Mobley, and even Moochie soetimes gets in there and force things by themselves.

Francis shot 13 FGs and 15 FTs. So he attempted more than mere 13 times and more than anybody. Not that I've a problem with that. Just get the fact straight.

I've said on my another thread that Ming needs to be at least the 2nd option behind Steve. Not the "afterthought" behind Steve/Mobley/Taylor/Rice etc etc.
