LOL, Francis 26, Yao 20, Rice 16, and cato 14, but we LOSE?

    THAT I have to see.

Anyways, it basically comes down to Francis vs. Glove. If Stevie can battle Payton to a draw, our supporting cast will eat them up.

Look for Griffin to have a big game against their PF, Radomanovich. This guy's not big or physical, so Griffin should ahve an excelletn game. Drobnjak and Booth will be their C's, and both of them are 6'11. Ming should have his way, although Booth is a good shotblocker. I'm confident that Ming and Cato are the superior tandem.

So we have the inside game covered. We can't let Lewis or Barry go for career games. I think Hawkins can keep barry in check for the most part, and we have to hope that we can somehow slow Lewis.

I think the Rockets win in the final minute

    Rockets 99
    Sonics 97

    Francis 14 points, 5-13 shooting, 8 assists, 2 TO's, 5 boards
    Payton 16 points 6-13 shooting , 10 assists, 1 TO
    Cato 10, 10, 2
    Ming 14, 6, 2
    Griffin 18, 9, 5blk

I don't know how Seatle has done against zone defenses so far this year but they look like the type of team that would kill it. Hopefully the Rockets will stay away from it.

Ming has been showing up big for National games so hopefully he can stay out of foul trouble. I'll give this game to the Rockets

    Rockets 94
    Sonics 91

I wish it weren't so, but I think you're giving Francis a little too much credit and not enough to Payton. Francis most likely will have more than 2 turnovers playing against Payton (or anyone else for that matter) and saying that he'll have only 2 less assists than Payton? Don't think it'll happen.

    Francis - 19 pts, 5 assists, 9 boards, 6 TO's
    Ming - 26 pts, 3 assists, 12 boards, 3 blocks
    Cato - 10 pts, 10 boards
    Rice - 12 pts
Griffin - 8 pts, 6 boards, 4 blocks, less splinters
Boki - more time to hear Rudy say "Pass the #$%^ ball!"

Rockets score under 20 points in each quarter. Sonics build a large lead at halftime. The Rockets make a late push in the 4th quarter, but it is too little, too late. Sonics win 79-71.

    Defense will be key tonight.
I think T-Mo might get some minutes against Lewis today.
Hawkins probably will have to guard Barry/Mason.
    KT against Radmanovich.
Francis has to guard Payton tightly and to penetrate and dish quickly.I hope that his shots will go down tonight.
We should have the advantage tonight in the frontcourt with James being out.Yao and Cato have to be aggressive on both offense and rebounding.
Griffin should come off the bench tonight to try to hit some three pointers to restore his confidence. Mo-T can stretch them if he starts to hit his mid-range shots.
Moochie has to cut down on his overdribbling.
It's tough to predict the result but if we cut down on our mistakes we can win.

actually didn't we come out with fire and intensity last time and get an early lead, only to get down by 20. so apparently we should come out really flat and then start trying and hope that surprises them so much that they can't shoot or anything.

and zrb, you're saying the rockets have lost 4 straight when you go and you're still going??? why would you do this to your fellow cc.neters???:)

We HAVE to contain GP - he is the key to the Sonics. If he goes off we will need Francis/Ming to have monster games. We will have to shoot lights out, something we have not done very well this season.

    I can't pick against my boys. :D

    Rockets 87
    Sonics 84

Rockets D is giving up 87.8 per game.

Rockets O is scoring 89.9 per game.

our upcoming schedule...we got this game, then sacramento at arco (a near impossible game to win), then we come home for san antionio, then we get to go play the hornets in nawleans, where they havent lost yet. then we got 12-4 philly.

we need to win. now. or else things aint lookin so good.

Hopefully, Rudy will put Hawkins on Payton so that Steve doesn't have to chase hims around. Hopefully, this will leave some energy for Francis to have a good offensive game. Also with Hawkins bigger than Payton, GP won't be able post him up.
If Hawkins can stay with Payton one on one, this will decrease opportunity for other player to get open. Payton was killing us the last time we play them by passing to the open man when he got double team.

Usually, but there should be a solid Yao Ming contingent tonight.
