Raptors aren't worse than the Rockets though. Since Vince came back, they're 9-5. In the Rockets last 14, we've lost 10 I think, so we're 4-10.

Antonio Davis doesn't lean on defense a lot, so Yao will have trouble scoring tonight. When they lay off Yao, he has trouble scoring.

I'm hoping MoT continues torching people, and Mobley gives him some help.

    Just win.

And get Vince Carter injured again....

didn't he get injured against us?

They're actually a pretty good team now.....just too late.

hopefully yao doesn't do bad against another very short center.

Just watching the Raptors pre-game show from Canada. Raptors assistant Walker D, was asked if Yao is being used properly. He stated that he was seriously being underutilized. He also said that the ball should go down to him on every play. Guess this opinion is prevalent with most teams around the league.

That's a very early pregame show......

And actually, Yao has been getting the ball a lot more now. The assistant coach will be surprised.

I suppose Tulsans are as stupid as Texans. Which of GLen's 2 shot attempts last nite should he have made more consistently?? You're a moron...he's been hitting the three great since he came back...unfortunately, this poor passing team cannot get him the ball or run him off a screen...get him the ball and you'll see consistency...the only inconsistency in Glen's game is his touches...the one facet he has no contrl over.

On Raptor's pre game show, Mobley was pissed when asked if the offense doesn't use Yao enough. He said "Dream was way more agressive, Yao is more of a passer. He'll pass the ball even if he's one-on-one. There are still a lot of other weapons on this team besides Yao. People can say all they want."

The commentators joked afterwards, that it seemed liked Mobley wanted to take all the shots himself.

Seems as if Mobley is sick and tired of Yao.

They were just interviewing Cuttino pre-game here on the local Raptors tv channel, and he made some interesting, if not welcome, comments. The announcer asked him to comment on having to adjust to having a legit big man like he had early in his career with (an admitedly aged ) Olajuwon, and the criticism that they don't get Yao the ball enough, and Cuttino responded fairly adamantly. He bristled, looked right down at the floor for a second, and then said ( Almost word for word)

" You know, Hakeem and Yao are totally different types of players...Dream was way, way, way more aggressive, while Yao is, you know, more of a passive type...He likes to look pass a lot, even when he's, you know, single covered. The thing is we can't be looking to him all the time, we;ve got lots of players...lots of weapons on this team, and we need to use them all, not be looking at one guy. People can, you know, say what they want about us...we don't care."

Now I took that as pretty much him being defensive and not enjoying the Yao talk..he was comfortable in the interview until Yao's name came up, and then he visably changed. And the studio announcers were laughing about it when they came back, commenting how Cuttino is saying Yao doesn't want to shoot so that he ( Cat) can rationalize shooting all the time.

The last game really depressed me. Watching Steve make one stupid mistake after another when a win was still within reach... I'm not someone who usually gets down on him or the team. I usually throw out the "we're young, need to gel, wait 'till the last part of the season... blah, blah, blah" and so on. I don't get it any longer. Steve is either really hurt and is hurting the team by playing (in which case, why is he playing??) or he doesn't have the smarts to be a point and is out of position. Yeah, I'm throwin' my hands up and not making any more predictions.

From now on, they're going to have to surprise me.

I tell you guys there is a lot of animosity on this team due to issues in the attention Yao gets and other players. YOu can see it on the live interviews. Griffin completely supports Yao, Mobley can't stand the Yao hoopla. This is the problem with the Rox, lack of team chemistry and a similar agenda.

    1) Sorry I basically repeated your post.

    2) I think it's a tad strong to say that CUttino is sick of Yao...sick of all the Yao talk/questions, and sick of being told he should be the main guy, yeah...it definitely seemed that way toady, but I think it's a stretch to assume that he's sick of the guy himself. I will say that we are lucky that Yao is such a likeable guy, or I can easily see that it might have gone that way with any excuse...

I don't agree. Watch the game, Mobley doesn't pass anyway but he is even less likely to pass to Ming. I actually don't blame MObley, it's gotta wear on you when , wherever you go the attention is on one player. It's great for low key players like Griffin but for the Mobley types he's going to be pissed.

Don't you tink you guys are just making all this stuff up like Steve and Cuttino can't stand ao. Players don't have to act like best friends you know. I am sure they are a little jealous but hate him or can't stand him is riducoulus. Shaq and kobe are not best pals and they get along ok eough to win. So should these Rockets

Rockets champions once again. ( Waiting)

Since I'm unable to watch this game(a blessing in disguise if there ever was one), can anyone tell me who the starters are for the Rockets? Please tell me Rudy didn't go with the same 5 players!
