Come' on. If they are going to bring up the injuries and crap. Steve is the FRANCHISE. We won what, 2 of 25 ggames that he was out last season? Yao has played about 2-3 years straight without any rest. Maybe he can get some rest this offseason and my argument will shut all the Steve/Yao/Rudy haters up. A fan is not someone who b*tches and moans when the team is doing bad. Let's get their backs, let's defend our team FROM those kind of people.

This team is a championship team in progress. Be patient. You have to learn to crawl before you walk. Like my girlfriend says... "You will fly and you will crawl... God knows even Angels fall." :)

Yao gets his touches. Yao looks to pass before he looks to shoot. His teammates need to understand that and get themselves open in the position TO get the ball because if they do that, with the great passer Yao is; the ball will get to them quicker than two shakes of the lambs tail.

Oh that will be easy no problem!! Did you see the Wizards,Lakers,Heat, Cavs,Grizzlies, games where we get down by 20 at the half and then wake up in the second half when its too late!! And then only one of your guards can score and Posey and EG just plain Suck!! Thats how the game went.. Upside Yao played extremely well and continues to grow, other than that this game was like no other lose, WE SUCK!!!!!!!!

for now perhaps we can only pin our hopes on the Spurs defeating the Suns today and Pacers stopping the hot Warriors AND Shaq's big toe hurting again and Carl Malone feeling old.

Why'd ask it's the same old pattern. I take it our defense sucked too?

Sean Elliot on Fastbreak said the Rockets (referring mainly to Steve and Cat) play too selfishly to make the playoffs. I don't know enough inside the organization to say anything about Rudy T's future. No matter how my Les Alexander may want to fire Rudy, somehow I think the Rockets won't fire him but allow him to "voluntarily" step down to a front office position. But whether Rudy T will willingly do this is beyond my knowledge. I do know, however, that the playbook needs to be overhauled in the offseason. The one-on-one stuff needs to go out the window, maybe with the exception of mismatch situations, say, for example, off a pick and roll situation. A problem I have is whether the Steve and Cat respect Rudy enough to change their entire style of play. I get the feeling that Rudy has maybe tried to get Steve and Cat to change but they don't want to. A new coach with some fire (in the mold of, say, a Van Gundy type) may command enough respect to force changes in the offense. Rudy is very much a player's coach, and he may not be willing to give the players a more structured offense to adhere to. As far as changing personnel goes, in my opinion, I believe the players need to be changed. The only two people I consider "untouchable" are Steve and Yao. The rest are expendable in my opinion. What the Rockets can realisticly get in the offseason, I guess only the GM would know.

It's not that they lose, it's the way they lose. There's pride in being a Warriors--or even a Nuggets--fan right now. But how can you be proud of a team with no heart and no intensity?

This really, really, really sucks massive chunks of poo.

I don't understand what happened. The Rockets games used to be very unpredictable, so we'd have up and down moods. It's pretty much all down now... losses keep piling on by bigger and bigger margins...

If the Rockets are taking themselves out of the playoff race, they're sure as hell making it as slow and painful for themselves (and for the fans) as possible.

I don't understand the logic in this. The Rockets open up and play like crap, and then get down by 20. Then, they realized they're getting wailed on, then say to themselves, "Ok, we need to buckle down on defense now." And then they do. So, why don't they look up at the scoreboard and say, "Hey, we're tied at zero. If we want a chance at winning this thing, we need to buckle down on defense." They've already shown they know how to turn it on, they just can seem to figure out when to turn it on, which is ALWAYS.

Great job by Yao, just other folks just blew the catches from his great passes. And if that posterization of Ben Wallace (one of the strongest guys in the league, I might add) didn't show what Yao is capable of when he's in scoring mode, I don't know what else could. The offense must get Yao at least one touch per possession. Simple as that. Everything runs much more smoothly, and we may have a chance at the playoffs.

Patience will be given when there are signs of improvement. If you look at individual stats this year and compare it to last year for those who played both, you will see that in most areas, they have lost a step. Their improved record is accounted for by the return of an injured Glenn Rice and Mo Taylor plus a 7'5" rookie of the year candidate. I've already posted the stats elsewhere to show this.

    Morris .451 .769 .286 2.8 0.5 .16 .35 .65 3.7

Here are the players that played most of last season for the Rockets. How much if any improvements do you guys see from these players from last year to this year? Every single one of these players are still young, athletic, and supposedly developing their game. The correction would be that I don't see any REAL development in their game. Either they are stagnant or declining with the exception of Terrence Morris and Cato due to his limited play time this year. Who should take responsibility here when your players are not growing? Are the players being lazy or is the coaching staff not doing their job? With the addition of Yao Ming, a healthy Glen Rice and Mo Taylor, the Rockets improve from a 28 win team to a currently .500 team, so there really should be no suprise if the Rockets don't make the playoffs this year. I say if the Rockets are gonna make changes, replace the coaching staff first.

Who's the best point guard in the west?

PLAYER MIN FG 3PT FT RB AS PF PT
    STEPHON MARBURY 37 10-12 6-6 5-8 3 10 3 31

Do I hear a Franchise? I didn't think so. Francis hasn't had a game like this all year with those percentages....don't think he ever will.

AND THOSE WERE STATS FROM THE START OF THE FOURTH QUARTER!

I completely agree. I know the Rockets are learning to walk, but they are doing it in a wrong way. If we still keep quiet, they can never walk, not to mention they can run like a champion.
