    verse,

you really want to see Nachbar at the 3 over Kenny. Nach's defense is pretty questionable.

    GO KENNY!!!!

If there was one thing that I learned about Nachbar this last game it was that his defense doesn't look anywhere NEAR as bad as some have been saying it is. He moved well laterally and didn't let his man drive past him. Admittedly, KT is a better defender, but I don't see defense as a reason to keep Bostjan off the floor.

    Raven,

    all 12 minutes of it?

hmmmmm. I'll keep giving him more chances. But all I can visualize is Hill and Miller going right by him.

Damn you, HP. Don't tempt me to use my "HP shuts up for 24 hours" coupon so early after having won it. ;)

That's right, I remembered. No one else seems to have mentioned it, but this is a bet that I won!

dayum, why is it sooooooooo hard for people to follow bets.

No one else has mentioned it, because *The bet is the Home opener.* You haven't won anything, yet. Go look up the bet thread. Search for

    "Summer" in the title.

    TheReasonSF3,
Um, we're terrible, too. So it'll be a nailbiter.

Touche'. I haven't won anything yet...but do you seriously think you have a chance? I didn't go back and look at the old bet thread because it was apparently named poorly (or the search engine is not functioning) because I searched the Game Action Forum for threads titled "bet" "tip" "jar" and several other things that might pertain to the bet and couldn't find the thread.

I guess I just have to wait another day or two before I gloat. :D

Edit: Just found it. Who knew that "tipjar" was one word? ;)

I think Shut up are your two favorite words in the English language. Your other topic is titled Shut up : something or other...

Anyways, only very good teams blow out bad teams. We are not a very good team. Even when the Rockets were very good, we couldn't blow many teams out - for some reason we lack the killer instinct to keep a team down and out. We are somewhat infamous for giving up twenty point leads.

I'm looking for double digit efforts in this game-

    1) Double digit assists for Steve
    2) Double digit rebounds for Griff
    3) Double digit points for Yao
    4) Double digit blocks for the team
    5) Double digit win margin for the good guys

No offense to the Nugz, but we can't afford to lose games to this team if we're serious about making the playoffs. It's also a good opportunity to see what the guys available can do.

What's our front line going to be for this game?

    Rice, Thomas, Cato
    Rice, Griffin, Cato
    or
    Thomas, Griffin, Cato

Yesterday we lost becasue we were playing small ball vs a very big team. If we want to win vs some of the better teams in the league we are going to have to play at their level, or in this case their "height" level...

At the very least we should never have no more than 2 guards playing on the court at any given time. Small ball won't win it for us anymore.

Also, I hope Griffin starts becoming more of a defensive presence around the basket; then maybe I CAN START WINNING ON IN MY FANTASY LEAGUE. No more 10 percent shooting Griffin, PLEASE!

I think small ball could win, but not if the offense consists of hurrying downcourt and dribble for 10-20 seconds to let the defense setup for your pass to someone for an ISO. Using small ball against an opponent would typically mean using a speed advantage on offense and defense to negate the height advantage, and if these guys are playing 40+, that speed advantage will disappear towards crunch time.

Nuggets 4 or anybody-I remember a couple of months ago Kiki was leaving one roster spot open for a walk-on or fan, did this end up happening? If so, who's the walk-on?
