You really think EG is good? The guy cant shoot, cant take it to the hole. The only thing he can do is blocking. The guy shows no emotion. It's EG's fault, nobody else to blame on this one. Tade him when he's young and people might still think he has upside.

C'mon Yetti -- @ least use your head when you post. Kidd had three assist tonight; Francis had six. Kidd scored 30 points on 12/23 shooting; Francis took 19 shots and scored 22. Kidd was basically doing things a shooting guard does tonight. Now you know if the roles were reveresed you'd be b****ing about Francis shooting too much in the game.

So what do you mean "watching Kidd do his thing?" He basically "did" what Francis is capable of doing each night, but Yao-only fans like you would pee in your pants about if he did.

    *lol*

Francis was not the problem tonight. He and Yao were far from the problem...other players have to step up.

3million $ a year is why. otherwise, Tito Maddox would be playing.

Yeah, they really looked hungry tonight...

"Yao draws the double team AND FINDS A WIDE OPEN MOOCHIE NORRIS under the basket for the easy....OH, HE MISSES IT. Back the other way now, here's Jefferson for the wide open 3....got it."

Moochie, the hair's not funny anymore. Kind of sums up the whole team right now. All style, no substance.

i agree but wit me the other ROLE players dont know hoiw to accept their roles b-cuz they dont get many opportunities! Ok look I LOVE THE ROCKETS dont get me wrong but to them this is too much to handle! Our team is based on our 2 ALL*STARS and one that I think one day will be and should be an All*Star no matter wut says Cat!Rox need to grow up!As I said this is too much for them they r the 2nd youngest team in the league Im not making excuses but this is an succesful season nobody what anybody says b-cuz they actually stayed above .500 which is way better than last year! So I don't care! Im already lookin foward to next season cuz if the Rox do make the playoffs most likely they will get humilliated by the Mavs! OK I NEED TO SHUT UP IM TALKIN TOO MUCH!! LOL!!:D

individual stats are so misleading. does one really have to point out to you the diffrence between Kidd and Francis's style of play?
This is not about which player racks up the most assists or who shoots the most.

this is about passing the ball multiple times during a possesion to set up good shots vs. dominating the possession with one player dribbling more than half the shot clock away.

Kidds not out there purposely trying to get assists or get HIS, he passes early and often, giving his teammates opportunites to pass to teammates, multiple times. theres not this dribble, dribble, dribble, and then one pass and out stuff. I dont think its totally Moochie, Stevies, or Mobleys fault they do this, I think its the system they've been conditioned to follow over the past three years.

Yeah, when we WIN and Yao doesn't have a big game, some still find something wrong with the way things are being done.

Yeah, I am under the belief right now that how ever the Rox win, just do it! I want them to make the p'offs! They need wins any way they can get 'em @ this point.

That's why we need to move Francis to 2 guard and gets a natural PG to play PG. Francis needs to shoot AND this team needs him to shoot. He is not the Jason Kidd type who can make the teammates around him better and just may never will. I wonder if Richard Jefferson would be the player he's now if he's on the Rockets.

I totally agree, but you said the key. This is the system as much is the players. And look, I don't need to go through the numbers b/c there have been a number of threads/post about it, but Francis has clearly changed his game. He' shooting less, passing more (assist are up), turning the ball over less, and even scoring less.

After a while, don't you think ppl need to get their head out of their asses and stop using the same player (Francis) as a scapegoat despite his improvement. Just face the fact the Rox aren't a GOOD TEAM. There are really only three or four players on this squad I feel safe about having on the team for the future.

They would amount to pretty much nothing if they're playing in Houston right now.

If we have Kidd, Rox probably going to the second round of playoff instead of fighting for the last spot

And another thing, you say Kidd gives his teammates opps. to pass to teammates. Well, how many times have you seen Francis -- when he has guys like Cat, Taylor, Rice, etc. that need the ball -- worry about others going off in the first-half of games or first three quarters and he takes like three or four shots? A lot. The thing about it is....Francis passes to teammates that DON'T pass to other teammates. *lol* When a guy gets the ball in this offense they do the stupid ISO, one-on-one, clear to one side-type of thing. Offenses like the Kings, Mavs, Nets, Pacers lead the league in assist not b/c they have ONE player leading the league in assist per se, but more b/c they have EVERYONE on the team buying into a pass-to-all system. Did you know the Francis would be the Kings leading assist man, yet the Rockets are close to last in assist and the Kings are first.

Yao believes in the pass-to-all system. Francis is doing this more and more as well. It's the Mobleys, Norris', Taylors, Poseys, Griffins, Rices that have to follow suit.

You can't have one guy averaging over six assist then the next guy under three.

Probably not, but I think he'd be a lot better than Jefferson. Hell, I don't know, he might be better b/c he would have this stupid ISO crap to do his thing and score a lot. *lol*

I just got back from doing some things I wasn't going to do because I was going to watch the game. Since I couldn't watch the game (thanks, NBA:rolleyes: ), and couldn't listen on the radio (as far as I know), I did my errands instead.

After scrolling through most of the garbage (not entirely garbage, but pretty much) in this thread posted during game time, I'll be sure to go to chat the next occasion the NBA ****'s me over with this NBA-TV BS. Some of you guys should go back tomorrow and read over what you posted here. You should be embarrassed.

The Rockets are without a doubt the most difficult team to watch in the league because they play so damn stupid. I'm constantly staring at the television with my mouth agape. I've gotten together with big groups of people and regardless of their team alleigences, they all agree that the Rockets are impossible to watch, even when they win, because they play such a sub-mental form of basketball. I literally see better teamwork and coordination in the pick up games at my gym (and that's most of the guys playing there are in the 30's with beer bellies).

I'm starting to think that's the reason why Rockets attendence hasn't increased as much as most people expected despite the addition of Yao Ming. Houston fans know what the rest of the country is only learning now. Next year, I doubt the Rockets will be packing them in opposing arenas like they are this year. Fans in other parts of the country are starting to figure it out. This team is ugly.

*lol* I don't think you want to be reminded of it...it's still too painful.
