Crappy plan or crappy execution, is it not the coach's job to oversee both of them? Rudy is definitely responsible for the debacle tonight but he is not the ONLY reason for our poor showing. It's a team effort tonight.

Having said that, I am curious why you think it is so wrong to "assign blames". Basketball may be a business to the owners and players, but it is still a passion to us fans. The day I stop nitpicking about Rox is the day I stop being a Rox fan.

Go Rox and Rudy, you suck. ;)

 whoa! 'just logged on... looks like the Mavs totally stampeded over the retro Rockets... with impunity.

wth's w/ this TO disparity:confused: how can the Rox suck so good:confused: i've heard that the Rox coaching staff have readjusted Yao Ming's shooting technique recently... is this a contributing factor to Yao's stinkin' 33.3% shooting this month?

anyways. the stapede is over, now the Rox are gonna have to go claim their bludgeoned dead embedded into the ground... have the Rox gone giddy and complacent w/ the big W over the Lakers? are they practicing their game on Nintendo or somethin'???

We held them to 41.9% shooting and outrebounded them 46-37, but 26 turnovers to their 9 gave them enough extra possessions to get them 107 pts? :(

2 out of 3 of those things ain't half bad for the second to youngest team in the league though, I guess...

    Rudy is in tough.

As bad as Yao Ming played, but we lost big time without his presence on the court.

You only need to check the score. When he left at the later part of Quarter 1 and early part of Quarter 2, we lost our tie game to become behind by 11. Without him on the court in the fourth quarter, our gap was widened to over twenty points.

The problem was without him, Dallas just went to the paint. We still turned over the ball in the offence and couldn't score anyway. So, it must be a combination of poor coach, fatigue and poor execution all combined for such a big loss.

    :( :(

    I agreed!
There are no game play for Yao at all. The only game plan was SF play 1 on 3 or 1 on 4. Team who play this kind of offense will never go anywhere. The best teams in the league are all good passing team like the king, Laker and maverick.

Yep, and the Spur may not get many assists, but they know how to pass the ball to Duncan. And the Pacer pass well too.

*Nobody* is going to perform when they feel as though two or three misses result in now seeing another shot for 20 minutes. Typical Yao night. He misses 3 in a row and Stevie and Cat refuse to get him the ball :(

Don't know if anyones told u people but the mavs are on top of the whole NBA league.. and they must have some kind of talent to be there.. so stop with these stupid trade comments and lower your expectations...

P.s. Just looking at the box score and eddie didnt play.. anyone know why?.. hopefully not injured..

I really doubt about Rudy coaching. His game plan is simply no game plan. It look like the players are just go out the court and play their own game. Whoever has the most baskets, be it like 10 for 40 or 15 for 50 , he don't care. I had never seem a team play a selfish game like this. The biggest problem is the Rocket's Management. Were they watching the game at all? Why every fans complaint about game plan and they still doing it!

Yay me! I got to watch two Rockets games in a week! Too bad this was one of them. Watching the Lakers game and this one I have come to the conclusion that the Rockets are a very, VERY talented team, that plays ugly, UGLY basketball. Francis and Cat are great scorers, but that’s it. Francis again gets more turnovers than assists. The team as a whole gets 8 assists and 26 turnovers. Brutal.

I know this has been said ad nauseam here, but I don’t think Steve is a point guard, and Francis and Cat are too much the same offensively, and neither is very good defensively, and neither is a real leader, and unselfish leader. One of them has to go, preferably for a defensive playmaking PG. Any loss in offence will be more than made up when the forwards finally start touching the ball.

This is a team game and Francis and Cat are marginal team players at best. We could probably live with one player like that but with two there’s no room for anybody else, and they’re not good enough to win it all by themselves.

We know the Mav are one of the best team. I had no problem losing the game. After all, we win some and lose some. The problem was the game plan. Pound for Pound Maverick are better but we ain't that bad either. We should able to play a close game with them. But if you watch the game tonight, we are not a team but 5 players who don't know each other. They are not passing the ball or move to a better position. They just play 1 on 3 and throw up a ball in hope of making a basket. We cannot win a game like this.

    ummm i don't think so.

Yao is not the problem, it is his greedy players that play along side him. You see, Yao can't do his thing if he doesn't get the ball. He should get 30 touches a game, and if he misses, so what, keep feeding him. He will only improve. Go down with your best, not with Kelvin Cato.

Yao will get double teamed, leaving wide open looks for his current greedy guards, but MObley would rahter jack-up sideways-fadeaway shots that hit the front of the rim all night long. And I think Francis enjoys playing out of control.

Yao not playing in the 4th quarter of the last two games, is just uncalled for. it's like Rudy T doesn't care about winning.
