Even in your book? You must be reading the wrong book. Or an extremely biased one. Rockets by 10.

The Rockets are better than the Magic with or without Hill. Don't get me wrong. I actually like the Magic. I like their players but no way are they better than the Rockets. Ming will have a big game. Maybe the best he's had thus far in the NBA. Visions of 20/20!

I didn't know the backcourt consisted of two forwards or even one guard and one forward. I always thought the backcourt dealt with guards. I don't know where you have been but the Rockets have the best backcourt on "paper". McGrady might be the best player but the Rockets have the best backcourt!

well i won't be on this thread when the game starts, i'll be on a magic one, but I'll come back and either admit to thinking with my heart instead of logic. But right now after seeing every game of both teams, I believe that the magic are even with the Rockets and better with G.Hill.

I will say I only think they are even with Houston because of Home court advantage. If they played on nuetral ground this would lean easily towards the better team (houston).

But the magic have been dominant at home. three of the 5 loses at home came on games right after brutal west coast trips. You try playing ball in Utah or California and leaving at 11pm to Orlando (you'll arrive around 9 am) to play.

The magic have also played 19 road games (compared with the 14 of Houston) and almost all on the west (they don't go back west till April). So with all things considered, not too bad to be 19 and 17 considering Tmac's been out 5 games and played less than 10 mins in 3 others. Hill's been out 10 games and 5 games with <10 mins. Miller was out with flu and bad ankle 8 games. Hunter (1st pick last year) has been out all year and so was Horace Grant.

So with a healthy TMac and Miller (and that's all they can really count on nightly) I still give the edge to Houston, but score it even odds at Orlando. I think It'll be a great game as the city of Orlando has alot of respect for this Houston team.

A backcourt is whoever is playing in your backcourt. Whoever brings the ball up, handles the offense. Tmac and Miller do this when they don't have a true guard in there. When Hill is in the lineup, the magic go with Hill/tmac/miller in the backcourt. No true guards. You could start all centers if you like, you'll still have a backcourt.

I enjoy watching the Magic play. I do not think the Magic are a very good "team" but when you have a player like McGrady, anything can happen. The Magic need a big man. If Orlando gets one, then watch out. But, there aren't many out there. I cheer for Orlando more often than not but if both teams play up to their abilities, the Rockets win by 20. I know that is a big IF but it is more likely for the Rockets to beat themselves than the Magic beating the Rockets. Again IMO and yes, I am bias.

IMO, the Magic should try to get Grant from Miami or Drobnjak from Seattle. Two different types of players but both can be effective in Orlando for different reasons. Grant can rebound and play defense on bigger players(did well mugging Yao) but will cost Orlando its cap space this summer. Drobnjak will opt out of his contract this year and would be a good addition given the right contract.(5 year 24-36 million)

True but there aren't any part-time tandem of guards or any tandem for that matter that are better than the Rockets backcourt. You have to admit Hill is more a point forward!

By the way, you are welcome here. Thank you for your opinions. Thank you for understanding what fan site you are currently on and not disrespecting our team on this site. We accept your affinity for your team. It is natural!

It was about this time two years ago when MoT starting hitting his shots and it greatly affected the Rockets in a positive way.

I predict MoT keeps up the very nice offensive play and the Rockets win...

When the Rockets move the ball around to everyone, mainly running the offense through Yao Ming, there is no team better than the Rockets. No one can beat us when we play like that, especially not the Magic (with Hill).

HOnestly texans, why would GLen be on T-Mac, they don't even play the same position. And the comment about Rice not finding Yao? YOu must not be watching the games, Rice defers better and more often to Yao than anyone else on the team. I hope GLen gets atleast 10 shots like last nite. I wonder how stat savvy you all are, but it's pretty safe to say that Glen Rice is becoming the X-factor on this team...not just becasue of points scored, but because of establishing himself as a presence he really softens the oppositon's defense...plus no one on the floor plays better with Yao but Steve. This team needs to get GLen going, because it makes the rest of them better, and the O flow better. This team will rarely lose with evenly distributed scoring...that's what they need to go toward.

slight correction for you Mrs Rice...

there are people from many, many places other than Texas here..
you always b**** at "us Texans" when someone says something you dont like about Glennie-poo...
go ahead and do it, but leave out the "Texans" part of it...cause we have people from all over the world talking here..

NJ: Good on you, man. I was at the game last night and I thought of you. Mo didn't just find his shot -- he was really aggressive on the boards and on defense. He actually looked mean. Here's hoping he keeps it up.
