i've heard Shawn Kemp needs to be declawed... (mad face w/o the teeth)

a couple of Clutch members at the very beginning of this thread guessed the outcome of this game prior, in favor of the Rox at 91-90, and 99-89. Kinda good guesstimates I'd say..... Rox did win w/ 91pts..... beating the Magics by 10..... :)

I think the NBA might need prompting to take action against Kemp. http://www.nba.com/email_us/letters_to_nba.html

I think there is an understanding among many of the big men that if you mess with them, they'll deck you, dissuading idiots like Kemp (anyone ever scratch Cato?).

IMO, Ming is too civilized for that and prefers to beat people on the court.

    WHOA!!! I just realize something.

Take a good look at the picture. The scratch is not only on Ming's back. It's also on his left arm. This is definitely an intentional scratch by Kemp. Is it because of "And One" talk from Yao?

well, glad this game is over with.

It's the only game I rooted against the Rox all year. Nice to see Yao dominate my hapless frontcourt. He needs to.

To all the folks here who said the Magic would lose, I stand corrected. I understimated the RUDY T. He did go to Yao and knew that Yao was the best way to control the magic. Yao's size intimidated the Magic terribly.

I have NEVER seen the magic players do so many up and unders. They usually just put it on the glass. Rudy would be wise to just keep him in the lineup even if he's scoreless.

    Go Rox!

I wanted to say the same thing, but Posey only played 18min and he had 5 PF's (and 3 TO's). I think Rice did most of the work, which was basically funneling him to Ming/Griffin. :) Great help defense tonight.

I am happy that I have the close prediction before the game:

Yao will lead the team with 25pt and 12 rb.

That idiot did it intentionally. We fans should sign a petition for the NBA to take actions against that b*stard.

Steve played really selfish at the second half. He just said that let the game come to me last time when we played with the Warrior.
This game, he forced the game and play very ugly basketball.
He is no.1 leaque leader in turnover per game, no.2 in total turnover. When the team goona correct this.?

The one on the left was from earlier in the season which is why he wore the armband. The one on the back was from back was an accident but Kemp needs to cut his fingernails. I guess he needs to keep them long to help snort coke.

Sorry I didn't watch the whole game but when I saw Posey he was doing a solid job on TMac. I recall he even picked him clean on one drive attempt. It was the first time I felt we saw a glimpse of what Posey can do for us against elite big 2's and 3's.

Our interior game was terrific though. They ate up Magic posts like yummy bears. ;)

Posey did excellent defending job here. We are now one of the best team in defending.

    Go Posey!!! :)

There's really nothing they can do. Jason Kidd, who's probably the best PG in the league, only has 5 fewer turnovers than Steve. Just because you have a lot of turnovers doesn't mean you're playing bad, it just means that's probably the person who handles the ball the most. Kobe, who is widely considered the best player in the NBA has MORE turnovers than Steve, but he still gets his respect. I really don't care about turnovers as long as the team's winning games.

    Wassup guys,
    Great win.
I always go to the Orlando time and it was good to see them win for the first time in a long time.
    Yao Ming live in exceptional.
He is a brilliant talent and we should pass more to him.
Did you happen catch what one of the fans did of Ming.
They drew a huge drawing of Yao, and thought that was nice.
I have to say a third of the people there were asian and thats good.
    Yao really rocked the arena.
    Anyway Yao live in great.
I Wished i could see more of him live.
    Go Rocks

    You're a gracious loser, orateam. :)

I was wondering myself why Rudy kept the starters in so long at the end of the game, then I found out about the drought of victories at Orlando. Things became a little clearer. Maybe RT is a little superstitious and thought there was SOME way the Magic were going to come back. Twice during time-outs I told my son (who's 11) "Rudy'll be clearing the bench now. The Magic are toast." And nope, I was sitting there with jam on my face. ;)

The League should look into Kemp's nails across Yao's back... not just because it was Yao. It could have been someone's face, even one of his teammates. And it was clearly deliberate, imho. I'm glad the Magic are stuck with this guy.

You didn't even need to look at the scratches; if you watched it in slow-mo, you could see that the way Kemp dragged his hand across Yao was totally unnatural.
