Rockets coming off a high after last night's win. Due a letdown. If they win this one, then they're playoff contenders, otherwise let's wait until next year.

Rice and Franchise shoot the lights out, Griffin gets into early foul trouble because he's playing near home and tries too hard, Mobley has his record assists and Yao get 5 blocks.

A toss up. Houston or NY by a squeaker. If OT, we lose.

Predicting the Rockets is damned near impossible... but maybe with our main competition being Phoenix now, rather than LA, we won't be so tense.

    Rockets 89
    Knicks 78

Allan Houston must have used up all his luck last week :).

If Yao doesnt get more touches this game, we definitely will lose. Even if Yao gets more touches, but the rest of the team just stands around and watches, we will lose anyway.

I just hope the Rockets show up for this one. New York has been playing well lately.

I predict that Steve will get 30 points and nine assists and Yetti and carayip will start threads complaining about how greedy and selfish he is...

I think well see some of the same stuff we saw last night. I am sure Thomas, who is pretty damn physical (more so than Battie) is going to beat up on Yao and probably front him.

Spree and Houston will shoot lots of 3s and well probably respond in much the same way.

Remember that NY whooped us a few months back. This is our 4th game in 5 nights.

Hmmmmmmm ...........my heart says we can pull it out, my brain says well just be too beat up and tired to do so.

A 7'6'' Guy should not be bothered about being fronted! If only he had someone who knew how to throw the ball into him, like Horry or Kenny Smith.

I had a blast in chat (although I got dizzy at times- lol! Big thanks to rockHEAD, Codell and the others who did PBP. And D'oD, of course. ;) I need to do it more.), but I'm glad I'll get to WATCH this one.

This should really be tough. Four games in five nights? At least it's a "short" commute from Boston. We owe the Knicks big-time for that humiliation earlier. If they swarm the big guy, we've got to have an answer... get him the ball quickly. With experience it should become second nature. No hesitation with the entry pass and don't worry about getting on Sportscenter, guys.

It's all about wins now. We need every damn one. We've used our quota of blown games to mediocre teams for the next two seasons and this one ain't over. It's past time to hammer them and don't let up. Come together and just get the ****ing wins!

    This is GEL time!
    Rocks by 1.

Use your damn elbows, Yao... you WILL become feared.

Is it just me or are the NY articles all just a way to bring Yao to NY in a few years?

I may be paranoid, but it seems like blatant bread buttering...

    and rockets win by: 98-84.

Well that's just it, McFly....Horry and Kenny smith didn't HAVE to worry about guys fronting Hakeem...

"Gee, there is a guy standing in front of Yao AND a guy standing behind him...Yeah, I think I'll pass it to somebody with TWO people guarding him!"

Thats why timing, ball movements, and setting up picks for our big man are so important. Please stop all those dribbling, crossover, me shoot first then may be passing to you kind of offense.
What most likely to happen is Knicks will not double team Yao most of the time. Thomas will keep pushing Yao out to the 12-15 foot area. We will make some of those slow, predictable and late inlet passes to Yao, AFTER SF made his dribbling, crossover, shoot first pass later move. Everybody else just stand around and watch Yao to do his ISO. Yao then miss those turnaround J terribly. Then our guards try to takeover the games especially late in the game, hitting bricks and committing stupid fouls and turnovers. And our bench couldnt do sh!ts. We got blown away as if it shouldnt happen. RT walked off the court with this daze look on his face. Yao will THEN diplomatically say its his fault too.

    Sound familiar.
