Coming in late, I just wanted to express something about last nights game. We started off well. Our starters were playing Sacramento's starters evenly through the 1st quarter. Then at the start of the 2nd quarter Larry Smith took out all our starters, Sacramento took out all their starters as well. Their bench went on a 9-0 scoring run early in the 2nd quarter, and our bench guys couldnt put the ball in the bucket. Larry Smith left Yao and Steve on the bench wayyy long. It seemed like an eternity before he finally put them back in. By then the game was already out of hand. In the 2nd half our bench picked it up and started playing well. We ended up only losing by 1 point, but we would have won this game if the coach had made some adjustments when our bench went on a scoring draught in the 2nd quarter. If you play catch up all the time it's gonna be awfully hard to win. Leaving those guys out there for that extended stretch when they were clearly getting outplayed by the King's bench just about sealed the game for us. Just my thoughts.

A Train is that all you can say? You disagree with my opinion say so and why! Dont use such obtuse language, especially when you dont even know me! This Forum is for Basketball(Rockets) opinions not for personal attacks!

Whoever thought that last shot by Francis was a bad shot taken, really needs to get their heads check.

The team had a chance to win if the rox made their free throws. The coach can not shoot those freethrows for them.

True, but if we hadn't conceded the big run in the 2nd quarter when their bench was killing our bench, it likely wouldn't have come down to that.

Dont underestimated the kings bench. Its just a guess to say that wouldnt happen with your regulars in there. Theres not really a big drop in points once the kings bench is in.

    :)
Rudy is actually still a pretty good FT shooter.
Larry could not make a FT to save his life when he played. He shot like Shaq or worse. I doubt he improved since! :)

The Franchise played great as usual.
The Rockets missed to many free throws toward the end of the game.
Its' hard to beleive that Yao missed two crucial free throws toward the end like that.
