a good game, my friend whois a hardcore King's fan and I am a hardcore rockets fan, so we were cheering aginst each other. very fun game. if Yao and Mo can made 1 of those 2 free throws, the result would be different, if the Yao behind back to a wide open Posey who can convert, or a 2 on 1 fast break between mobely and taylor could not result a turn over...but the game is not dceided by these 1 play, it depends on all 4 quarters. so ...any one see that Yao's block? he just took the ball from the air!

Yes I enjoyed this game very much. I wanted to see the Rockets win though because we didn't need this game as much as you guys and I like watching the Rockets play.

Games are always filled with "ifs" you know what I mean.

I thought Mo and Francis played great tonite. They kept the Roxs in it.

I think Yao could of scored a easier if he would of just played more physical. Divac is old and pollard looks like a dwarf compare to yao. Overall he played okay.

I missed the first half and but listen to some of it on the radio so I dont remeber that Yao block.

    Anyways good game. Very exicting

The way this team is made of, if EG can improve to be an average PF next season, Rox can be a top 5 team next season.

Yao had 11 pts. and 19 rebs??? I couldn't see the game.

19 pts. and 11 rebs. would have seemed more likely.

    2 questions...

    What was up w/ Yao's off-night shooting?

What was u w/ Yao grabbing 19 rebs?

Well, Yao spoils us with his excellent shooting just about everygame. But, I think the big fella is intitled to an off-night shooting every once in a while, right? *lol* He just didn't make shots really. Nothing really the Kings did.

Ok. I was wondering if he was just missing ones he usually makes or if the defense was much better.

    What about the rebounds?

I thought most of the rebounds were easy to get because the kings are not really a good offensive rebound team at all. Rebounding is sactowns achillles heel.

so painful to watch the replay on channel 51 when you know they lost by 1 pt. In the 3rd qt, with 4:01, we have already missed 3 layups :(

Thanks. I thought that maybe Yao was really active on the glass or something because the next highest rebounder on the Rox was Stevie with 5 rebs.

did i miss this new development in basketball where running good plays with 5 seconds left, no timeouts, and the length of the court to go suddenly became easy?? bad shot selection? he had 4 seconds when he got the ball, had a 6'11 guy chasing him and a guard in front of him and got it off with 1.1 seconds left. what do you want. him to test his mental time keeping skills and see if he can work it all the way to 0.1 seconds. i would much rather make sure you get off a decent shot then push the time as much as possible and get nothing off. was it like automatic that the shot goes down if he gets within 30 feet instead of 35? i can see a moron like Yetti saying it, but not a ticker article from sactown. and about setting up a pass. the only way to save any real time is if the pass basically goes all the way down the court to rice/mobley in which case the kings could easily break it up/steal it. otherwise you have to push it a little, wasting time, then throw the pass, wasting more time, and hope the guy who gets it still has time to get it off and even then it would probably be a rushed shot and not as good as the one steve shot anyway. add to the fact if the ball somehow got tipped on cwebb's possible miss you want everyone possible in the backcourt to gather in the ball and make sure you get some sort of shot off at all costs. therefore, we did exactly as we should given the situation. secure rebound, get to guard, push ball, get off some sort of clean shot. barely missed, what are you gonna do.

from post-game quotes, Steve blamed our big guys and the FT shooting for the loss!

``Even though Sacramento is considered a really good team, I think we basically gave the game away,'' Francis said. ``We basically gave the game away in the first half, missing some free throws, and our big guys couldn't makepoint-blank layups.''

Sigh. The lack of maturity reflected by the meaningless finger pointing.

Next time Francis shoots 1-12 does that mean his teammates should go out and say "the point guard couldn't hit a shot and lost this one for us"?

    WHAT'S WRONG WITH BLAMING THEM?!?
They missed their crucial free throws. Mo Taylor missed 4 free throws. Yao missed 3. Cato missed 1. Eddie.....never goes to the line. Posey missed one.
It was pretty disappointing. Nice try though!
Do the Kings not respect us or were they too tired?
Steve Francis was awesome. He scored 38 points....mainly because he had to and he pretty easily did it. He still also had 9 assists. :) He tried...
Mobley had the flu. He did ALL RIGHT......but he really screwed up that fast break.......usually he just goes all the way to the basket. What the heck was he thinking passing it back and forth with Mo Taylor?!? The Rockets seemed scared or something.
Posey.....was all right. But God.....looked bad. Yao made a beautiful pass to wide open Posey but he couldn't just toss the ball in the hole 2 times!!! I don't know why they didn't allow him to check into the game...
Griffin was all right...sometimes looks good...but just needs to improve. Had 4 blocks....should have been 5.
Yao well...........I don't know what happened to him. He was terrible in the first quarter. In the third quarter....he came alive. He had 11 points and NINETEEN REBOUNDS. which is a career high. good job!!! But misses three free throws...
    Moochie...useless compared to Bobby Jackson.
Hawkins...did all right in his 1 minute of play.
Glen Rice......well did all he could.
Mo Taylor.....terrible first half but then great 4th quarter.
Cato...his normal self. He blocked many shots and got many rebounds..
Mike Bibby is not super, but he can shoot. He just runs around until he gets open and he shoots. He's a good shooter.
Doug Christie...good defender and can make shots when he's open.
Stojakovic...too good. He's just good. Too bad he doesn't get the ball that often.
Webber.....well he's a good shooter. But he never made one of his jump hooks...but he's a good all around player...bad free throw shooter.
Divac....I hate him. That tricky flopping guy.
Our starters were pretty even to their starters...cuz the Kings were tired. But their bench was way better than ours...

They main reason we had any chance on winning in the final seconds is because Sac missed 3 out of 4 FTs. If they hit all 4, they would have had a 4 point lead with 6 sec left, basically ending the game because we had 0 TO's.

Story teller:- Its a scientific fact that passing is by far quicker than dribbling. So Francis as the leader, on the floor, anticipating that Webber was such a poor Free Throw shooter and that we had a good chance of a win with a two, should have had a player down the court for a pass. To prevent defence being put on this man he himself could have made a mad dash and had the ball passed to him by the rebounder. This is just a senario that might of had a higher percentage chance of producing a 'W'. Of course if our players had just made their free throws we would not be considering what might have been.

Yeah, I almost cried last night when Stevie missed the trey, but...

You know what, I was glad to see the Rox not quit...

I know it's not a "W", but Stevie needs to lead like that all the time...He's the Franchise and should lead by example...

I thought MoT was great, but those GD FT's are killers...
