According to official NBA stats, Divac is 7-1, 260 pounds. Ming is 7-6, 296 pounds. There is no way Divac will be stronger than Ming.

Not a snowball's chance in hades of winning this one.

We lose, but in the long run we win if we stick to executing our offense.

I think Yao Ming's style will be somewhat similar to Webber on offense. I think it will be a good lesson for Yao to see how the high post can be run. He played the high post a good bit against the Sonics and passed out of it very well. He did get a lot of touches and did good things with the ball.

Win or lose, this game will be good for us. It's all about how we respond to the outcome.

    Go Rockets!

I Think we will be a much better team during the second half of
the season and we will have much better chance of beating the
Kings then Though sadly tonights game will be a blowout by the
Kings 100-78 though Francis will have 30 points in the loss

This a big test for the rockets. Is their D their real deal, kings are the perfect test to see if thats the case. If Yao dosent get in foul trouble and they run their offense thru him like the 2nd half of the seattle game. than they have a chance

I am not quite convinced that this is the same Sacramento as last year due to the injuries. The wins the had this year were from below par teams. Their wins are from:
Memphis(twice), Atlanta, Golden State,Orlando, Chicago, Clippers(twice), Phoenix and Cleveland.

There are only 2 teams that are contending for the playoffs so IMHO, the jury is still out with Sacramento. Tonight will be a true test for both teams.

Put Hawkins on Jackson. With Peja and Bibby out, you stop Bobby from going off you stand a fine chance of winning. Let Steve take Wallace since gerald is not really an outside threat. And give Rice Dougie boy. His height will be an asset on Christie, who I don't believe has great foot speed either.

If it fails, use Morris or KT on Doug.

If we shut down Jackson we win. Bottom line.

The Kings just signed Jim Jackson and placed Hedo Turkoglu on the IL. Jackson's always a good offensive threat, and if he is used tonight, there's another scorer for the Kings to help Bobby Jackson and Chris Webber. Let's pray that he's still rusty (or that he isn't ready to play 'til the Kings' next game).

We have to take advantage of Sacramento's current undermanned situation.

feishen:- Stamina is not something that can be turned on quickly! Its going to take Yao Ming about 3 seasons to fully adapt to the NBA.

Or maybe Rudy will finally use Boki and Tito...to slam Webber and Jackson's heads on to the floor, giving them concussions and leaving SAC with 6 players. :D

    I'm just kidding. I don't want that to happend...yet. ;)

Well, Olowokandi from LA is 7-0 270 and he seemed to do really well against Yao in their game, keeping him away from the paint. It seemed that Kandi was more physical than Yao. Since he is only 10lbs more than Vlade, I wouldn't doubt that Vlade could be stronger...but I can still go with Yao being stronger since I like him. :D

If want to see team ball, watch the kings. The past 2 ys , the kings have been beating the tar out of the rockets. Its not just because of the talent, its more of the team ball concepts as oppose to the AND1 mixtape type of ball the Rockets have been playing. When the got on the roll against the Sonics, it was because Ming was being doubled and kicking it opposite for wide open low turnover chances. Instead of establishing Kenny or Rice, we should establish Ming early and often. He's not going to play long so while he's in there, lets use him and his abilities. Once he gets it going and force the kings to double him, the entire floor will open up for everyone else. I still think the Rockets will have a hard time beating the kings. If they get Ming rolling and get some fouls on Vlade, it really plays into the rockets hands.

Yes. Please restrict Moochie to the last minute of the game. Only in my dreams unfortunately. He makes boneheaded plays for about four consecutive games, one good game really doesn't make up for it.

I think with the King paying short handed, we should tried to get their big men in foul trouble. We should let Ming drive on Divac and our other shooters should tried to attack the basket. I think with they being short handed, they will probably be less aggressive on the defensive end afraid of getting into foul trouble. I think we also put Hawkins on Bobby Jackson since he seems to be shooting hot lately. With the injuries that they have, Houston should be able to break the eight game losing streak to the Kings if they play smart. I suspect the Kings is probably going to play zone, but Houston shouldn't settle for just outside shot.

I look for Mo Taylor to have a big game. The Rockets will have an advantage over Sacramento in the post. With the Kings undermanned, I say:
    Rockets 94
    Kings 91

Jim Jackson is a Rocket killer. I remember he used to kill even Mario, which is not an easy thing. Hopefully he's out of shape. I would much rather prefer the Hedo "2001-2 MOP of the Year" Turkoglu. (MOP=most overrated player)

The Yao/Divac matchup will be a wash: don't expect to see impressive numbers from either of them.

CWebb will rip up whichever Rocket gets his number.

Christie will rip up whichever Rocket gets his number.

I believe we have a great chance to win. I really like our depth - none of our players are turds.

If we play like a team and get good work from all our players, we can win this.

BUT, the Kings have not lost at home this year, and many of our recent losses have occurred because we haven't played like a team. That's not good.

I think it's gonna be a really close game.
