I beg to differ! We lost yesterday, therefore we must go 4-0. Even with 4-0 we might not get in! Even so we must give our best effort for 4 Games.

Here it is from the rulebook:

Any player whose contact with the basket ring or backboard causes the back-board to shatter or makes the ring unplayable will be penalized in the following manner:
    (1) Pre-game and/or Half-time warm-ups-No penalty to be assessed by officials.
    (2) During the game-Non-unsportsmanlike conduct technical foul. Under NO circumstances will that player be ejected from the game. The Commissioner will review all actions and plays involved in the shattering of a backboard.

Sooooo, the technical foul shot would take away 1pt.

okay... enough. back to the jazz game.

So how the hell do they finish? Are there backup backboards in the back?

actually, we can go 3-1 and still make it. Although going 4-0 will be much better. Dude, u r giving way too much credit to Phoenix. They aint going 4-1 rest of the way.

    ok... seriously...

-mo taylor will get in foul trouble guarding malone.
-eddie blocks a few of malone's shots and malone complains all night.
    -harpring has an off night
-kirelinko (sp?) goes off, but posey's performance cancels it out
-yao has 18 pts 14 rebs
-francis is the player of the game with 30+ pts, 11 assists, 10 rebounds.

    rox win 98-89

We tend to play pretty well when our butts were handed to us the night before. I guess there's no time to party when you've got to put your butt back on. Here's hoping they're on straight tonight and that they don't get kicked. :) I want to go to the playoffs.

James Posey scores 31 in the first quarter. Larry Smith promptly subs for him at the beginning of the second quarter, and he plays 3 more minutes the rest of the game.

    Jazz 102
    Rockets 31

Steve Francis is blamed by everybody for the loss, even though he had seven assists to Posey and Yao goes 0-23 from the floor. We love Yao. Bow to Yao. Yao is da shiz, ya heard?

    Malone 51
    Stockton 51

Not only their age, but also how many points they score.

Amazingly, the Rockets win their last three games and the Suns lose out. Wheeeee...a first round date with the Dallas Mavericks.

That's true, Miguel. Francis has had HUGE games against the Jazz @ Utah. I hope that trend continues.

While in my 10-game prediction for the Rox I predicted the Rockets to lose @ UTA, I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled it out. Hopefully they do and prove me wrong.

I also agree with the poster tht said if the Rox lose all is not lost. Going 4-0 would definitely be just what the doctor ordered to make the playoffs, 3-1 wouldn't be terrible either. I really do seeing the Suns losing to the Mavs, Spurs, and Blazers (@ POR). All the while I could see us (the Rockets) beating the Sonics, Grizzles, and Nuggets (@ DEN). So a win tonight would go a long way to making the playoffs, a loss doesnt' mean HOU is out of it.

Remember when Franchise had 29 points in the first half that time, swishing everything he threw up? At one point the clock was running out and he took a 30-foot fadeaway jumper. Nothing but net. It looked as if he was going on to at least 50.

Then that ******* Joe Crawford sent him to the showers with like, 10 minutes left in the third quarter for a bull**** call on Stockon. Ejected for absolutely no reason.

Still pisses me off to this day. And not only the ejection, but supposedly Crawford told Francis, "Get the hell off my court."

    I'll never forget that.

Rockets normally follow a terrible game with a great one. I hope that is tonight.

It happens both ways, great wins against tough teams, followed by losses to teams like the griz.

I hope after a night of not being able to hit anything, the rocks will be prepared to rule in tonights game.

It'll be a close game, I'm betting on a buzzer beater on "the play, as me and my friend have dubbed it" :p

Inbound to Yao, handoff to Francis as Yao sets the screen. Francis shoots up at 25 footer as time expires...99-98 Rockets win.

Yeah, I remember that like it was yesterday....like you, it still pisses me off to this day! If Stockton said he didn't know why Stevie was thrown out.

That should say, 'EVEN Stockton said he didn't know why Stevie was thrown out."

Ha, that was a funny post. Yesterday was a big loss because it was a home game. I know Phoenix has the tougher schedule, but their next 3 are at home and Dallas just lost a tough game last night to the Fakers.

the Rockets still reeling from yesterday's outing arrive at utah with no place to party. with their mind's only set on the game..
