We always win the the second game in back-to-back games.

    Utah: 2pt
    Rockets: 314pts

Wait I'm sorry, after checking the tape for shots that hit with double zero's on the clock, it appears that Malone was still touching the ball as the time ran out; sorry for the confusion...

    Utah: 0pt
    Rockets: 314pts

Once already, soon to be twice. Utah hasn't been playing well. Despite this loss to Portland (who matches up well with us), we've been playing like a team who wants to make it into the playoffs. Gotta win. Rice comes up super-clutch. Mobley also scores big.

The last time we played in Utah it was the 2nd game of a back to back where we lost the first game at home in Houston. We blew them out in that game. Utah is not the best back to back team and they may be losing confidence having lost 3 in a row.

I haven't posted or checked the boards in a looong time because, frankly, the Rockets season has gotten fairly depressing. I'm in SLC tonight and going to the game. Which Rockets team will show up? Which Jazz team will show up? If Calbert Cheaney and Greg Ostertag look like all-stars again, that will be pretty pathetic. Does Yao have anything left? Confucius say, "Let him serve as a reminder that Rockets have good luck in lottery."

THESE LAST COUPLE OF GAME SHOULD SHOW WHAT KIND OF STUFF THESE GUYS ARE MADE OF. I THINK THAT MAKING THE PLAYOFF WOULD BE A MASSIVE LESSON FOR THESE GUYS. I’M TALKING FUTURE EXPERIENCE. IF THEY MAKE THE PLAYOFFS THIS YEAR THEY WILL BE A FORCE IN ABOUT TWO YEARS, IF NOT FOUR OR FIVE. WE’LL SEE HOW THEY DO, OF COURSE I HOPE THEY FINISH STRONG! ROXS WIN TONIGHT AND BURY THE JAZZ!:)

... the score is tied with thirty seconds left in the game and for some reason yao is guarding malone. karl is standing at the 3pt line when someone from the crowd throws a rat at his feet. he mistakes the rat for stockton, goes to set a pick, rolls, slips on the rat, and badly sprains his ankle. yao says, "Oooops". oddly enough utah has no time outs remaining so both teams advance up the court and malone is left ailing at the other end. francis tells yao, "stop posting immediately, and come set a pick." yao does just that. sets the pick, rolls, francis passes the ball to yao for a dunk at the last second that shatters the backboard. yao sees david stern in the crowd and asks, "can i write a check... for the backboard." final score...?...

I think tonight will be THE game that determines whether this team really wants to make the playoffs. Its in Utah which means the Jazz will get every call and the Rockets will have to play through the bad calls to win. If this team has a heart and really want to make the playoffs we will see it tonight. If they don't win tonight then I say we throw the remaining games of the season and try to improve lottery status. I want to see us get playoff experience, but still feel that we have so much work to do as a team to improve.

OmegaSupreme got it right, when you shatter the backboard they take a point away. Look it up, it's in the rule book:D :D :D
