Nope. Wang is really underrated. He just didn't get enough PT, he could have done a good job.

During the latest internet interview Yao did, he said he was too shy to call the bench when he's tired. It was always the coach to make a sub seeing he's exhausted.

I hope this won't happen too often. When Yao feels comfortable enough with the teammates, things will change.

    Go Rox!

amazing how they say that they believed in yao the whole time. so funny. Yao Fever has hit. Yao is incredible.

hahahah. made fun of the people who said yao was the worst #1 draft pick.

Humm...Interesting, If Wang is the worst player, maybe no other clubs wanted him and the Lakers can sign him for a min next year to stop Chairman Yao when he's in town (Yao sandwich between Shaqfu and Wang while every other rocks clear out in the ISO play...dream on). From what I read, Wang is not that bad in the CBA when defending Yao. Maybe in the near future, no one in the league can stop Yao, but atleast Wang can tried to slow him down while Diesel resting his big Toe and bruise ego...;)

Haha! Didn't think of Dan Langhi and Oyedeji... wow. But you've really gotta dig deep to come up with worse players... AMS you're really knowledgeable!!

Actually I think Collier is better... if you can compare the two... Collier WILL rebound to save his life, whereas Wang may or may not. I'd pay to see this one on one game though! I think Collier would brutalize Wang.

I don't know about crediting Wang for good defense on Yao though... he probably stepped it up for one game. Sometimes he really hurts you out there though, he may have limited Yao (though Yao generally struggled to get touches during that stretch), but in 11 minutes he put up 0 points, 0 rebounds, 2 fouls, 2 turns. At least stats wise, he's hurting you.

I guess in certain situations, on certain teams, he could contribute. He's not the worst. I'm just glad that the Rockets have Yao and not Wang.

Lets go Rockets, I believe the Hornets haven't lost at home. You needs some touches and the Rockets should win the game. Im still expecting some minutes for Mo. Please Rudy. I respect the Hornets team, but they are done with tonight.

    tdup prediction:

    Houston 104
    New Orleans 98

I have never witnessed a player of Hakeems skill on a game to game basis, but damn, Yao Ming impresses me more each time he plays. You cannot help but compare the two.

Obviously, you don't know much about basketball. Wang is a good player with great offensive skill. Quote from Nelson Sr. last season, "Wang's as good an offensive player as anyone we've got." This includes Dirk.

Wang's problem is his defense. He is not physically strong enough to play 4 & 5, not quick enough to guard SF. But with more and more teams are adopting the zone, Wang will get his chance to shine. He just needs his time, and with a right team.

Wang used to be the best player in China before Yao came into his own. He is a good shooter, which is not very common among 7-footers. He is relatively soft and slow for NBA standard. But I think he is a servicable backup material and is better than A LOT of players in the league.

With all due respect, Daoshi. I am as Chinese as your name sounds... but I can't defend Wang. He flat out stinks, in the NBA, I'm not saying he wasn't good in China. You said it yourself... can't defend the SF and is too weak to play 4 and 5. Unless some team needs a 7 footer to catch and shoot (and I do agree some teams could use another shooter), he's just not very useful. I haven't seen him improve since last season, and his summer workouts have added bulk but not defense.

I watched every Dallas game that was televised last year, hoping that Wang would develop. So the comment about not knowing anything kind of stings. Let's just say Wang isn't very good and it will be hard for him to even develop into an average contributor.

I hate sounding like a hater though... hell I play basketball like Wang, I'll admit it. If Z. Wang scores 20 points in an NBA game this season. I will kiss Charles Barkley's ass. And if he develops into the next Dirk Nowitzki, I will kiss it twice.

I mean I do like him... so actually if he develops into the next Dirk, I'd kiss it glady.

I hope the Rockets' backcourt has a good shooting night. The Hornets are pretty physical defensivesly inside with Magloire, P.J. (having a career year) and Campbell. But then again they haven't gone up against too much size because their conference lacks post men. So we might be able to score inside.

Meanwhile Wesley is coming off a 25 minute, 0-fer. So hopefully he doesn't bounce back with a vengeance.

AMC--I got another one for you. And this one I'll admit: Jerome Moiso.
